new difficulties 10 - 15
Its a suggestion

It would be great to have some new level of difficulties

No meta, but continuous spawns (permanent alert) and little reinforcement (5 max)

That would be really great, the game is quite easy at level 10 and I'm quite disappointed to see the illuminists not being that strong in the end.

It's really a suggestion, the game is good but something is missing to make each game a real hell.

Yeah I agree but not with continuous spawns or buffing enemy health/damage. Just double the horde sizes and call it a day. 10 is fairly easy with a capable team. Although I wonder if consoles could handle it.

I agree. Less lives at the very least. Yeah I die sometimes but when we have 20 respawns that means very little.

There's probably limits to how big they can make the hordes, though I agree with not making the spawns any more frequent or simple stat buffs on existing enemies.

What they could do is introduce distinct upgraded versions of existing enemies instead, rather than just increasing their stats. This is what they did in the first game, where on difficulty 13 and above, Cyborg patrol units got a ballistic shield that made them immune to small arms fire from the front, stalkers got replaced by another version of the unit that could call for reinforcements, and some other examples. Best part is they've already started doing this in Helldivers 2, with rocket striders replacing scout striders and alpha commanders replacing brood commanders on the higher difficulties. They just need to keep doing it as more difficulty levels are added.

It's interesting how two posts below this one someone says the game is too easy, and he gets tons of negative comments about it.

And here they suggest new difficulty levels (please, I need them :D).

And it looks like there are more positive opinions about it.

Thats because we haven't really seen much of the Illuminate yet. Believe me, dealing with a hordes of Voteless backed up by a handful of Overseers might be easy now, but it probably won't be when your controls are inverted, your escape route is block by an energy wall, and your under fire from snipers across the map. I played the original game, and I can tell you what we're fighting now is barely worth calling the Illuminate.

Well, one is complaining the other is offering a solution. You attract different people depending on how you word your post.

Probably because the difference in approach. Making the game more difficult on difficulty levels people are already able to play proficiency could get annoying for the people who aren't able to adapt to the change immediately, where as simply adding new difficulty levels at least in theory shouldn't have that issue.

It'd be better if they modified the current difficulties to offer more of a challenge then add more difficult levels as it will further split the playerbase.

You can always challenge yourself with the current difficulties by bringing poorly optimized gear and stratagems.

Nah taking deliberately bad equipment just makes the game feel less satisfying to play. I'd rather use powerful weapons against dangerous enemies than use weak weapons to artificially make pathetic enemies a threat.
