Weapons against the Illuminate
I've used just about everything in the arsenal. Out of all the weapons, for me personally, this is by no means a rallying cry for everyone to use this. This is just my personal preference.

Initially, I found success running Jump Pack and either the Laser Cannon or HMG, using Sickle or Reprimand. I did ok, got my kills. Reprimand was fun in particular when used with the new armor set bonus, as the reload isn't so bad and actually tolerable.

However I have decided to change my loadout.

Instead of the jump pack(which I still love and will return to) I've gone with the Guard Dog. Both the laser and liberator variants do very well. The Liberator variant I've found hits a lot harder and will kill Overseers with relative ease. I myself went with the standard issue liberator and whew. I have fallen in love with it all over again. No weapon can compare with the standard issue AR-23 Liberator Assault Rifle. It is as perfect as the Democracy that forged it.

I always go grenade pistol to handle the warp ships.

I also took it upon myself to use the rail gun. Rail gun is as sweet as can be, reserved for taking down Harvesters, aim for the joint connecting to the hull and blast away.

I'm also usually bringing on 2 turrets, the flame and machinegun. Sometimes I'll alternate for the anti-tank emplacement depending on my mood. Or a walker.

Anyway. Standard Issue liberator is my beloved. Might take the penetrator for a spin but, mmmm.

Primary: Blitzer great for Voteless and stuns Overseers. Just mind the "gap" between the trash and your team mates. Swtich to bullets if your're clearing a mob chasing your mates.

Secondary: Senator - Ol' Reliable for anything armored.

Strategem: Anti-Material rifle to handle the flying tanks and harvesters

Call-ins:
Eagle Strafing run for clearing coridors and downing shields.
Orbital Percision Strike to 1 hit the ships and wipe out concentrated crowds
HMG Emplacement is good for holding a point just watch out for enemy nades and if a Harvester gets a lock on you.

Pack: Bullet guard dog is an all around good one for crowd control. Hits everything.

Grenade: Incendiary explosive (crowd control)

Medium electric armor which blocks 95% of electric damage, yours, your team mates, enemy teslas, watchers, harvesters.

My dude, did you miss the part of not being an idiot with it? All it takes to use is just a little awareness as to where your teammates are. It's much like using a guard dog, you just need some situational awareness.

I'm not saying everyone should use the Arc Thrower, but anybody with half a brain should lol. I literally used it my first time tonight and figured out immediately when to switch over to a shotgun not to hit my teammates. Not everyone should use it, but veterans definitely should.

Scorcher and Recoiless Rifle is all you need. Anything else is extra.

Gatling Turret to fight / distract the hordes, 500kg/Orbital Strike to blow up ships, napalm barrage if you feel funny

The armed turret booster is quite the fun extra

My go to loadout for the Illuminate is usually the following.
Disclaimer: I usually roll level 8/10 diff.

Liberator Penetrator (Decent mag, useful both vs horde and Overseers in a pinch)
Grenade Pistol
AMR (or Heavy Machine Gun during raise the flag missions where we need to bunker down)
Static grenades
JetPack
500kg
Orbital Precision strike
Stamina enhancer.
Medium Scout armor.

I prefer to move fast, complete objectives and strike from another direction. The combo of precision strike and 500kg is enough to clear even an heavy base in seconds (open with 500kg on the first ship, orbital strike on the second and you’ve the last 500kg ready to deploy on the last ship).
I rarely have the first place in enemies killed (2nd/3rd ), but at the same time, I’ve 0/1 death at most and the most bullets on target.
So there is that XD.

EDIT: I suppose the 500kg could be swapped for a 120 orbital to both clear heavy bases and act as a barrage in a pinch... tests needed.

Not sure why you got a jester for this, Blitzer is great against Illuminate (despite how much I hate it because it constantly teamkills me, but hey, what can you do?)

for support weapons the MG, HMG, laser canon, wasp, are all pretty good. I think all the AT stuff kinda sucks just cause of the shields but if you run an eagle straffing run you can pop the shields then take them out. For primary weapons i think the best is the cross bow if youre running one of the MG's or any of the light weapons just for breaking shields fast then switching to a support weapon.

Tried a few different loadouts after receiving different minor orders

Conclusion:
Loadout c) works best so far. I like the Senator against bots and terminids. But against these shooting Overseers feels realy anoying. Sometimes they die after 3 shoots, sometimes the need more than 7 shots.

gattling turret is awesome, but dangerous.
recoilless rifle is awesome, but slow. 1-2 two shots for harvesters.
autocannon does need many hits for harvesters, but its not to bad. Can be used againt overseers too. After every hit overseers and harvesters stagger a lot. You can completly surpress their fire as long as you shoot them down.
fire grenades are wonderful

The medium pistol from polar patriots that I forget the name of,
Gas grenades,
Arc thrower,
Jetpack,
500kg,
Gatling or Flamethrower turret

You'll struggle against harvesters, but I'm usually running with a pre built team so I know someone else has anti harvester stuff
