Fps drops on illuminate missions?

I adore this game just bought it yesterday and had no issues with it

except for the illuminate missions

in medium to high settings in get 90 to 60 fps on all missions on 1080p i got a GTX 1660 super and a Ryzen 3400g

but on the illuminate missions the game drops to 30 and even the low 20s sometimes even 15

I've seen some people with better gpus and cpus having this same issue their game dropping to the 40s so i just wanted to confirm if that was actually just a small minority or not

ya i noticed too...i normally keep a solid 60fps and no issues, but on the new faction it dips and i get noticeable low framerate in the city areas and extraction...especially with the major weather planets...im guessing the new faction is not optimized as well and with all the voteless zombies etc...and all the illuminate lights etc....im using a 2080 at 1080p with vsync

Yeah the new city areas are cpu heavy. If I were to guess they are rendering it the same way elite did with oddisey.

same, usually my pc never drop below 30 in worst case scenario, now it reaches 20

I didn't have the same FPS drop the first time they invaded on Calypso, but this second invasion I get major drops so it may be the planet itself.

Set your render distance to low when you are playing in a city environment, helped my FPS out by a noticeable amount.

Same here.. on basic missions there is normal FPS, but in Illuminate mission, I have around 50-40 FPS on lowest settings with RENDER SET TO QUALITY...
I saw it can be CPU usage issue, I hope devs fix that in next wave of illuminate missions... or just fix it at least

Same problem on PS5. Low FPS when you are in city area or when you are looking to the city direction.

Its pretty annoying, with an RTX 4070 ti Super, Ryzen 7 7800x3d and 6000Mhz ddr5, i get 150-165fps almost all the time while playing terminids and automatons, while playing against illuminate fps drop to 90-120. its a 33% performance difference, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. (last nvidia drivers by the way)

This issue still persists for me, illuminate for some reason much heavier on fps than normal missions
