Best armor passive against illuminates?
i currently use extra padding but i think its obvious to use Electrical conduit when playing against them, since arc damage is really good at killing them (while using Arc thrower, tesla tower). Is there any other fun loadout/armor recommendations against illuminates?

Shock resistant armor. You can run right up to harvesters and bully the crap outta them and they cant do a damn thing to you.

shock resistant is god tier since it saves u from the shock attacks they use. another goated is servoassisted arm since u can toss stratagems 80 meters away from u. it's my go to at all the fronts.

shock res, scout (the voteless have REALLY bad sight), servo assisted, engineer, the new one that gave +primary perks.

heavy armor is good to resist injuries caused by their energy weapons in general. the difference between heavy and medium in terms of how many injuries you get is pretty wild.

another amazing combo against them is HMG + impact grenade. Make sure to set the HMG to it's lowest RPM for accuracy, and use it to sever Harvester legs at the shoulder. When you find a warp ship, just hip-fire the HMG into it and then throw an impact grenade at the door for a guaranteed kill.

medic armor
way too much chip damage

use the new armor that comes in the new warbond. It increases reload speed and ammo capacity for all primary weapons, but the effect also works on any support weapon that doesn't use a backpack, like machine guns and the grenade launcher (unknown if its a bug or intentional).

I haven´t tried it cause I don´t own the warbond yet, but from what Ive seen the armor that now gives 100% melee damage boost can really help with their horde mobs.
And it comes with more stable aim.
Probably not an optimal armor choice but might be fun to play around with.

More grenades armor is basically the best in the game, but it's a low bar since most armor effects aren't that significant.

Close second is melee armor but...only if you use melee or low handling weapons like the MGs.

I suppose the explosion resistant armor with better recoil and just extra padding are both pretty good too.

Otherwise it's niche use for most others I can think of off the top of my head. Fire resist is probably overall the best elemental armor. Arc resist is so niche it might as well not exist.

Strafe run, HMG/Gatling Sentry, Commando. Arc Thrower and shock resistant armor with Tesla tower is fun, too. The Arc Thrower can also stun these tripods when the shield is down. Also its the first time that i felt the Tenderizer Assault Rifle felt usefull. Enemies only have light armor so far and combined with the new armor passive i had fun for the first time using it. But generally speaking: Stuff against the horde and an anti tank weapon.

I like Unflinching because of all the ranged damage but I use Sickle, grenade pistol, and laser or quasar cannon. The new Acclimated perk on Killzone armor is nice general purpose 50% reduction to gas, fire, shock, and acid and it's pretty strong for randos. Gas is good clear and reduce aggro. I'm just so used to Democracy Protects I feel squishy with anything else.

Everyone is saying shock resistance but if you're playing the game properly you'll never be in range for this perk to apply lol.

Explosion resistant armor is king as ever, because the biggest source of helldiver death - other helldivers, is as present as always lol.

The number of players who think it's ok to use the cluster bomb in close proximity to teammates is very frustrating. Especially when they throw it at something with heavy armor

Shock resistant.

Yes. While you could just stay far away from things that shock, intentionally tanking it can be tactically advantageous. For instance, you can walk under Harvester shields and shoot directly up into their shoulder joints.
