Question for someone who has directional shield

Is it invulnerable, way tankier or just a bit more durable than the bubble shield?

Way more durable. It only really breaks when you get hit with near instant death levels of damage.

Oh that sounds pretty good, worth getting the warbond for that then? (I don't have enough SC yet for the most recent warbonds, hench why I ask)

Entirely up to you honestly. It brings a lot of interesting new toys to the roaster but if I had to say, it's a lot more fun oriented than optimal.

I think it only works for one handed or maybe secondary. I only used it once but it goes on and off, 'on' when you are aiming with a strats ball, and for some reason it's not turning 'on' when using the Scythe primary weapon even when aiming so I felt it not worth it. I might be wrong, so feel free to correct me if anyone has more knowledge on it in HD2.

Directional shield can only be used with one handed weapons.

If you're interested in melee weapons, feels like the lance does more damage than the baton does. Can't say for sure though, just feels that way. It can also kill chargers. through their leg

There are not enough 1 handed primaries. You're stuck with the two small SMG's or the explosive crossbow.

There are not enough 1 handed primaries. You're stuck with the two small SMG's or the explosive crossbow.

Well, it's an energy Riot shield. Yes, you're sacrificing having a bigger primary, but the wide range of the shield means your allies also benefit from it. They can use their two handed primaries or even support weapons while you hold the shield for them. It seems more of a team-play stratgem than anything.

It's surprisingly handy against spewer bug constellations. Blocks all their spit like a charm. It's maybe not necessary or even good, but it is certainly interesting and something you can do.

At first I thought it completely outclassed the normal shield in every way - but the normal shield is a physical object and offers you some protection in case things close the gap with you, whereas the energy shield can be walked through. I haven't used it against bots, but I suspect xbow and energy shield against bots would go very hard.

It's a shame it takes the backpack slot up, though, because xbow + shield + supply pack would be SICK. It's such a small item it could fit on your waist band rather than take a back slot, but I suppose they didn't want someone to run the shield pack + directional shield. I'd argue being able to stack a bunch of defensive stuff would be perfectly fair, though, because you have to sacrifice your offensive ability in order to do so, but what can ya do.

It only works with one handed weapons, the Scythe is two handed.

You can also protect your team while they reload or are on a terminal so i like it a lot
