Helldivers 2 deserve better Reviews
When there was the review bombing because Sony wanted to enforce a PSN account for PC users, it was all about Sony's policy and less about the fact that the game is so much fun.

Since then the issue has been pretty much resolved and a PSN account enforcement/linking is long off the table. Yet the reviews have never recovered from that review bombing.

Helldivers 2 - any game for that matter - deserves better if the reasoning for the review bombing has been resolved. Especially considering how beneficial it had been resolve, despite the fact that the game itself had nothing to do with Sony's policy's to begin with.

And yet many who review bombed because of the PSN matter never changed their reviews back, unfairly towards the game, the developers who worked hard for the game and still working hard.

Those who did not change their reviews back kinda confirms it to me, that the method of review bombing is just wrong. If it was for a just cause, resolution and then given back the review the game truly deserves, then it would have been a great signal from the community.

This way we have instead just losers. Helldivers 2 / Arrowhead to suffer from the review bombing despite the issue is caused by Sony - and the players who just show that review bombing is meaningless if the reviews are not corrected despite the course corrections for the game.

I'll update my review to positive when the connection jank gets addressed. They have continually gotten closer to something I would positively review. But connection "issues" in an online MP game in 2024 is a dead letter. Thats basic functionality

EDIT as far as the PSN thing A certain AH affiliate encouraged that = be careful what you wish for, you might get it

Nah.

They still not doing things right, and try to put shady stuffs inside the game slowly (Probably because they're forced to do so) without fixing bugs and issues the game has since day 1.

No. Games deserve the reviews they are getting.(on steam anyway)
You may disagree with what the game is getting (I sure do) but what you are indirectly suggesting is censorship and a situation where potential consumers are not informed properly about their purchase. No matter what is written in a negative review, the fact is that, that user didn't like the game or part of the game and went out of their way to post it. Which means that to them, the issues they encountered were bad enough, to leave a mark. The opposite is also true of course.
edit: as for those psn reviews, yes the situation has changed, no they shouldn't go away. If it happened once, it can happen again.

true man

empathy is what drives this world, but those who just seek bitterness while they BENEFIT from the product, yet anger at imaginal issues that do not concern them

As much as I'm enjoying the game right now, they are not entitled to anything review-wise. If people came away from the game with negative thoughts then thats perfectly valid.
