Stuff I found out fighting against the Illuminate.
Just started playing against the Illuminate for the first time a few hours ago. They're neat. What I find incredible is that a lot of players still haven't realized how to take down Illuminate dropships (whatever they're called that beam down reinforcements). It's really easy, for those who don't know, read up.

You need to aim at the bottom of the ship that opens up to beam down reinforcements, that's where you shoot. As soon as it opens, you can shoot that with the RR and it'll take down the ship before it can beam down reinforcements with one shot. I've seen too many players shoot at the body of the ship thinking it'll go down easy just like the Automaton's.

Also, the cookout is great against the Illuminates, especially the ones with a spear that shoots and shields (don't know what they're called). If you shoot them with the cookout while they're aggressive, they'll just stagger forever until they're killed without ever getting to use their shields. Even without the cookout, when they raise their shields, just shoot at their feet. I've killed a ton of them with the stalwart by aiming at their feet when they use their shields.

Also worth noting, do not expect the Illuminate's Tripods (again, don't know their exact name, the ones that look and act like the alien machines in War of the Worlds) to go down with one shot from the RR like they do against the Hulks, Tanks, Chargers, and Bile Titans. I've seen a Tripod take 2 shots to the face with the RR and it was still standing, vaporizing my teammates. Honestly, I hope they never nerf the Tripods, they're f---ing great and a ton of fun to fight against.

Lastly, and I'm not sure about this one, but a 500KG landing directly at a grounded Illuminate ship (the ones in Illuminate outposts) can destroy it in one go? I threw one, landed directly above, and it blew up the ship completely even with its shields up, other times it doesn't. Needs further testing.

If anybody else can share their findings, it'd be much appreciated.

For the Harvesters (Tripods) if you shoot at the joint that connects their leg to the body you can oneshot with all rockets (other than the commando which takes 2, and the exosuit which will also take 2).

Obviously need to take the shield down first.

Thanks for telling me their name, and how to take them down easy! Also yeah, the shield needs to go down first lmao.

Now that you mention it, I did shoot one at the leg (by mistake) and it went down. I just thought it had already taken a few shots to the face.

the bullet guard dog shreds most illuminate enemies and decimates watchers

arc thrower stuns most to all illuminate enemies including flying ones making them a lot easier to handle since they stop moving and stop shooting when stunned

High rate of fire weapons, like the Heavy mg or Laser cannons will shred a tripod in about 5 seconds if you shoot the leg joint that connects to the main body. Ballistic guard dogs or arc weapons will delete anything that isn't a tripod. Heavy At is not needed vs Illiminates, high rof weapons with pen are just better.

Hard to test atm with the lag. Tried the spear on the outposts and it didn't work but my guess is: the shield. You probably need a rapid fire weapon to deactivate it, then use whatever heavy ordinance you have. Could be wrong though. Also: arc weapons and armor are god tier on them. Stuns them forever. Next I'll try the pyromaniac build to see if flames go through the shields or not.(seems like it does at first glance)
