That's what cosmetics are for. This is not acceptable. Wouldn't be a massive playercount drop if they'd stop making awful decisions. The DSS had so much potential, and all it did was aggravate the entire community.
Especially since the Warbond costs a grand total of 1000 credits...
Ain't quick to farm solo, even less so if playing the game normally rather than grinding.
Agreed.
I recall when they said "We'll never sell Stratagems in Warbonds." That quickly went out the window. Pretty sure they also said they'd never sell weapons on the Super Store. Cosmetics only. Look at where we are now.
Being okay with this will only see them consistently selling power for 200-500 super credits separately from Warbonds, which is unacceptable. Anyone forgiving this is an apologist and needs to seek help.
New strats and weapons are nothing but MTX now, have been and will be.
Yeah it's not nice I agree.
That said I also don't care, as long as the SC:s are as easy as they are to get in game I may have a moral issue with it but truth be told I don't have to forgive it to accept how it is.
Doubt i'm in the minority here those who buy SC certainly don't care and those that get enough from playing probably won't care either. We may disdain the practice a bit but not enough to actually do much.
you have *zero* obligation to use real money to earn super credits. i can get the warbonds and the stun baton completely for-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-free because i and others just play the game. im not nearly for micro-transactions, but when you can just earn the currency needed by playing the game? i and many others really dont gaf. keep crying.
...So they've already reduced SC gains across the board, making it much harder to gain enough through passive/normal play to get them in a meaningful timeframe.
Costs 1000 SC per 'premium' warbond (as if there were any other kind thus far)...
And you get like, 10-20 SC per pickup if you can find 'em, usually get 4-8 per larger map, 3-6 on smaller ones? At least, that's been my experience.
And rarely, if you're very lucky, you might find a 100 SC pickup!
...Which even at its best is a mere 1/10th of the total needed for a singular warbond.
Whereas the typical 10 SC pickup is 1/100th of the total needed.
So! Up for grinding about 100 pickups for an item that spawns with about a 1/4th chance in lootable spots? With the alternative loot being a support weapon, regular credits or samples...
I'm sure it's barely even frustrating to burn so much time exclusively trying to loot and then leave... Let alone trying to earn it through more natural gameplay looting.
/s
And costs 400 SC, whereas a warbond costs 1000 SC total; the only upside being no additional cost in medals... But TBH, medals can be earned via objectives and so on, whereas SC can only be looted on-map and takes a LOT of time to gather through regular play.
Unless you loot'n'leave to grind for SC, which takes several hours (I spent like 14 hours grinding in such a manner) in order to acquire the amount needed.
Playing normally? Well... That can take upwards of a week or three of playing day after day, for hours upon hours each day. Not exactly the smoothest experience.
What happened to all their millions? Did they piss it all away? Guess they are also ♥♥♥♥ at balancing their budgets if they need to do this ♥♥♥♥ to cover their costs...
