So... No One's Going to Talk About the Premium Shop?
I haven't seen any high-positioned or active threads on this. Maybe in light of the excitement around the new content.

But the Illuminate update now sets the precedent that weapons are okay to sell in the premium shop.

At first we just had armors. Cosmetics. Everyone was fine with that, none of the armor effects were unique to the shop.

Then the Truth Enforcers came out and we saw that now it wasn't just armors. Capes and backgrounds were now fair game too. I guess that's just cosmetic...
Some posts went around about how content that previously would have gone into the Warbonds now just was moved to the shop at an extra cost. So Warbonds became smaller, but still cost the same.

Now with Urban Legends we have the Stun Baton in the shop, which is NOT just a reskin of the spear, but a unique weapon altogether. So weapons are fair game now too I guess? Are strategems next?

I thought the Premium shop was supposed to be for cosmetics, as occurs for MTs in most live service games. But more and more types of equipment are slowly making their way in there.

I don't like the direction this is heading and I'm surprised to not see more discussion about it.

You can earn the currency in-game. Your point?

Most games would literally block them from free players forever. Not this game. Sure its a bit of a grind but most games also has a grind or you straight up buy it to skip the grind.

Never played deep rock galactic? You can't buy weapons and armor with in-game bonuses with real money in non pay-2-win games.

I played it. Did you miss the part where I said "most games"? And Deep Rock is locked behind a grind.

Just play the game and you'll unlock everything.

Not everyone is a NEET and have jobs, families etc...no time to grind. Luckily my household pulls over 200k a year so I buy warbonds if im short a few credits.

it has been so long i didn't found curencies during a game that i start to believe this is an urban legend (or a silent nerf of their drop rate)

I don't think you looked that hard before posting this...it has been brought up by a multitude of topics already.
It's not ideal that weapons are sold there but do I really care...no I don't.

Maybe I would care if I actually had to buy SC:s in this game.
But due to them being ridiculously easy to acquire for free I simply don't give a damn.

Honestly, not really. You just need to drop into lower diff missions. I use to think the same, but the second I dropped into a 6 with a friend he basically found a metric ton.

I feel like I really draw the line at superstore being only cosmetics/armor
A stun baton being there is just too much, considering the warbond was pretty much just cosmetics itself
If it happens again with the next warbond - I won't spend money on HD2 anymore

The sh*ttiest part btw, if you look closely at the warbond banner, one of the characters isn't holding a weapon, but his hands are in such a position, as if there WAS a weapon at somepoint, and it was simply cut out

It took me a while to realize this was about the Superstore.
My biggest issue with this is time, it feels like it has less respect for players than anything previously, especially people who will drop the game outside of major updates.

The player could have all the currency they need and be stuck kicking dirt for weeks to grab that cool looking weapon that everyone is using that played in the week it first dropped.
That feels a lot worse than "oh that helmet is sick, I'll have to see if I can get it when it's on rotation." Especially since armor usually has little to no difference in utility while weapons can be game changing.

Yup like I said in one of the other various threads about this same subject, everything in the superstore should be there at all times available for purchase.
The rotation should be for things on sale for lowered price.

That sounds great btw

You can literally just check reddit to see whats on the superstore. Lots of people who "quit" seems to find a lot of time to post several paragraphs worth of complaining about every little thing. They can find the time to check what's on the superstore.

"free" players??
this game isnt free, this isnt team fortress 2 or fortnite
we paid money for this game
what is wrong with gamers?? you ENJOY being treated like cattle, to be milked for money in a game you already paid for?

this is why I only buy singleplayer games and avoid multiplayer/live service like the plague.
You cant monetize and milk a singleplayer game (unless you're ubisoft).

Its an epidemic. They finally broke the masses into accepting this kind of slop
