Can't wait for the illuminate balance patches.
Quite unfun to fight. Combines the numerous bug numbers with the bot projectile showers. Take your git gud comments and shove them up your bug hole. 9 months for this is wild.

As a hard difficulty 8 player for the illuminate I can tell you to just git gud.
Like you are just bad and inexperienced, you arent meant to be good at them immediately. With the other factions you worked your way up through the difficulties but I can guarantee you went headfirst on atleast difficulty 5, didnt optimise your gear and didnt give yourself time to train at all before you went to complain.

I struggled with the illuminate a LOT at the start but instead of complaining I just got good. I personally with all of my heart find them easier then other factions.

Give me a jester if that makes you feel somewhat better by visibly disagreeing with me. It's too bad that you are just bad at fighting the illuminate and seek validation in forums instead.

They do seem a bit over tuned at the moment, kinda got the best parts of bugs and bots combined, i might just need more experience fighting them but boy are they rough right now.

The Illuminate are designed to be harder than Bugs and Bots, been like that since the First game. They're the ultimate test of skill, ask any Helldivers 1 vet and they'll agree

Went in against them blind last night with friends. The main units, not the zombie guys, feel like Automaton Devastators. So you gotta bring something that has some punch. Their "bases" are laughably easy, just take down the shields and any big weapon into the door. Compared to the other faction bases, the Illuminate ones are just asking to be blown up.

The only unit we had issues with was the Harvester, AKA the Tripod walker thingy. That shield needs to be taken down then you need someone to hit the eye ASAP. If you take too long, that shield comes back up. It also doesn't have a shield when it's actively patrolling either.

the only real issues are that there's no way to deal with their dropships (super short window of vulnerability before they drop their contents, AT weapons either useless due to arcs or bad because it's too hard to get the shot in during the 3-5 frame window), and zombies infinite spawn in cities

Send one brave soldier underneath it with a grenade. That tripod will crumble in seconds.

I tend to have lots of ricochets with the recoiless on the landed ships once the shield is down, shoot straight into the open door and it bounces off to god knows where.

lmao there's barely any actual illuminate troops, wait till they add the mind controlling council members and force field projecting obelisks. It's only going to get harder from here...
Asdolg Dec 13, 2024 @ 6:07am
lol this is much easier than bots

they feel pretty easy , all the units can be killed with rather weak weapons , like on bots you NEED to bring high pen weapons and or AIM , but on them here ? no issue you dont even really need to aim for weakspots feelingly.

being overrun can be an issue but sentrys solve that easily.

Bruh.. the Illuminate aren't that good. I went in with LMG, dropping the Forcefield for the homies and was clapping them just fine.
