recon report: illuminate
here I will report what ive seen so far in level 6 missions.

combat encounters consist of zombie horde flanked by specialist enemy, that are later backed up by towering striders.

The zombie known as "voteless" are used as their fodder, hoping to overwhelm you so the specialists can pick you off. on their own they are just a mindless husk which can be effectively dealt with any means. fire, gas, and static are all viable. but I recommend the gating turret. something of note is that if the legs are blown out they will drag themselves. and rocket turrets will stop shooting if they surround it.

the more problematic is specialists enemy. Ive notice two types melee and jetpack. they tend to escort the zombies and guard strategic locations.
The melee appears to be one of the less annoying. armed with staff and deplorable force shield, it attempts to close the distance and take you out in melee. the staff will kill in one or two swing but can be dodged. the shield unfortunately will block any direct fire, but can be circumvented by using explosive shots and aiming for the legs.
The jetpack is far more problematic. armed with a machine gun and jetpack. using the pack it hover wherever it goes and will use this advantage to get into flanking positions to lay down suppressive fire. as of this moment it is quite beefy needing full mag dumps to takedown. stun doesn't take it out of the air and it will peruse relentlessly. headshots seem to help a little, and if you can sneak up on it you can maybe do enough damage to its pack to make it explode. at this moment I recommend using an MG43 to counter because it can consistently hit weak spots. other thing of note is fire and gas are ineffective on both specialists, stagger can be use if your partner can deal extra damage.

floating around the map are scouts drones, they appear to be to only one capable of calling in reinforcements. it can attack with a weak shock attack, but it is more concerned with finding and reporting on targets, be it humans, turrets, or mechs. you tell when you have me found when its spotlight has been on you long enough to change color. then it will shoot blue signal light up at its positions to call reinforcements, once it does that it will stay on you attempting to shock and blind you with its light. it can be easily shot down but your gonna need to move soon.

those reinforcement consist of multiple illumines ships coming to drop off more enemies. I've been unable to shoot one down but I have a theory that you will need to be standing underneath it to be able properly shoot it down because the exterior is heavily protected.

what might come form these reinforcements could be more zombies with specialists or towering striders. these striders stand about as tall as a bile titans, on three legs, but what you will probably notice first is the giant blue shield it has around it. this bubble will stop rockets but can be broken if shot enough with any gun. it can also be walked through if your willing to get close to it. additionally it is mostly covered in heavy armor but has a weak spot on its underside. it also is susceptible to stagger but not greatly. its only attacks is a powerful laser beam that it will indicate it charging up. recommend engaging in a group. or using precision orbitals

other thing to mention is that their bases have a similar shields, it can be broken with enough gun fire followed up with a explosive in the entrance, but an orbital strike will cleave through it all. eagle 1 ordinances may be able to do the job but its unclear....

Report ended.

[its 1:30 am here and I'm real tired, some of this information may incorrect but this is my
first impression. will come back later to update as I learn more. but I hope this can help other people. and feel free to add anything else you've learned]

theres only 5 variants, i did difficulty 10 and it was same as 6, tripods, zombies, brutes, jetpacks, and drones.

wondering why theres no
- obelisks
- Councilmen
- sword wielders types with cloaking
- snipers types with cloaking

Hope AHG adresses this problem cause im disapointed they were released in such a lacking state. bug and bots started with alot more then 5 variants each.

Those come later. The devs mentioned that they are working on them and this is just the "vanguard" of the invasion.

This is just the tip of the spear.
Our enemy is highly inteligent and ancient, i am sure we are gonna see new tactics and technologies deployed by them.

For now, i fear they are just testing our response. See how we react and how we counter this innitial assault on democracy.

I fear....they are closer than you may think they are...don't underestimate them!
