Vehicle (FRV) controls are hardcoded to WASD, please map to foot movement controls
I use ESDF for movement, and change W to be my USE key.

This makes it literally impossible to drive the FRV because if I try to accelerate, I exit the vehicle.

Why did you move all of your inputs one key over?

folks there's nothing wrong with changing how you want to play with keybinds, this is a valid complaint.

For people wondering why anyone would use ESDF instead of WASD, it's because ESDF gives you access to more (and easier to reach) keys for shortcuts and hotkeys.

As an old fart I'll forever be bound to WASD and a reversed Y axis myself, but I get why people use other settings.

are you okay?

I am a touch-typer, so the "home" keys for my left hand are ASDF. It's where my fingers naturally rest from typing, and I prefer to stay that way for playing games. This also allows me the use of an extra column of keys (QAZ) with my pinky.

This allows the use of the A key for crouching for instance, which is a lot easier to hit than friggin' CTRL. Z for prone, if a game has going prone.

:steamfacepalm:
With ESDF, you gain 1 Q A Z as pinkie keys. The only downside is less comfort during L-ALT thumb press.
There are no other cons.

ESDF??? voteless behaviour, if you ask me...

This was brought up when mechs were introduced with same problem.

Just fired up the game after being gone a bit, and I think the new enemies are pretty sweet. Vehicle seems standard but cool. Would love to drive it like it's 2024. ;)

There's no good reason not to include vehicle key binds. I just hope they get to it eventually.

I'm loving how the little drone thing comes around and shines that light on me. Seems very topical. Cool beans.

Got a team mate using an azerty keyboard. Hopped in the car because "fun new toy". Told him to drive because I hate driving. He instantly asked me to switch, as the car was "misbehaving". Needless to say: we crashed into everything in the neighbourhood because my heart wasn't really into it.
Please make it so I can tell others to drive the damn thing. Thanks.

Vehicles make it so that heavy armor has a use, so yes. Neat addition.

I'm left handed and use the numpad to play the game and move so I understand the pain here. Nice thing about using the numpad is all the easy to use keys for stuff like page up/down or the arrow keys which my thumb rests on or all the keys around NUM 8/4/5/6

I can't use the jeep at all because it's hardbound to WASD and that's no where near my hand that is on the keyboard, it's literally all the way across
