Why do I have to install beta drivers for my RX 7800 XT?

This is the kinda ♥♥♥♥ that makes me contemplate switching to NVidia...

I literally keep crashing so hard after waiting so long in queue it's unbareable, literally unplayable. Does AMD just like never work with game devs on new games that launch for driver support? NVidia seems to do this ♥♥♥♥ on DAY ONE, not in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BETA DRIVER 2 WEEKS AFTER LAUNCH

Any one else have any solutions for this? I heard the beta drivers cause ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Starcraft 2 to crash now for some reason, which I play on occasion.

Ugh, sorry for like the ranting and caps lock but I just had to say it somewhere, steam forums is probably the worst place to get feedback from anyway LOL

im using 24.1.1 and haven't had any issues yet, i've played about 20 hours so far

With new drivers game works fine and I didn't notice any problems with other games before.

It's not amd's fault the game is broken, there should not be a specific driver for every game, that makes no sense

there is no such thing as AMD "beta" drivers. Some come out early and skip the WHQL cert from Microsoft, which is literally meaningless.

This is literally what gamedrivers are for, they have game specific fixes.

Same here, 24.1.1 driver and game has been working just fine.

I did disable screen-space global illumination in graphics settings, tho, as I heard that potentially causing problems in HD2.

I'm on a 7800XT on 24.1.1 and haven't had crashes at all after disabling global illumination. Sounds like a skill issue tbh.
