Complete nonsense.
Completing them on 5 or below is a walk in the park.
I've gone as high as 7 which is very tough, but with some coordination and the right tools is definitely doable.
Only issue I've seen with them is civvies sometimes get stuck, but the ones from the other doors should continue to route fine.
Tanks should not be dropping right on top of the civie spawners. ♥♥♥♥ is bugged.
I just play the stuff I like.
From what I can tell it's always been the outpost that has the statue in the center that has brutal, nonstop spawns that snowball into complete chaos. The other map is much more manageable, and I can't tell if the spawns are less frequent and numerous or if the restricted sightlines and choke points are what make the difference.
I agree that makes it tough, and personally I'd prefer it if all of the dropships landed outside the base giving us time to deal with them.
But that isn't a bug. It's clearly how they've designed it to work.
Agreed.
Definitely feels like limiting the Defence mission types in conjunction with the high target of needing to complete 8 planets, has led to most people getting burnt out on them already.
It's still early though, I expect the devs are learning from this and taking note of how quickly the numbers drop off and will hopefully use it to improve future goals.
I see a ton of people complaining about the fact that they can't beat helldive mode, but they haven't even reached level 20, and they don't play with a full team. You're not supposed to be able to do difficulty 7+ without options like the railgun, orbital laser, or recoilless rifle. You're supposed to have at least 3 people for difficulty 6+, as well. You need mortars running all the time.
Okay, what the hell are you doing?
Now I believe they're doable, but I don't think they're reasonably doable given the equivalent difficulty in other game types.
So, how many squad members do you need, and what stratagems are you using for that, that makes them so easy?
