Game launching to black screen (no Super Earth announcement coming up)

ive tried to reverify my game, deleted the user setting config, uninstall the anticheat, and yet no cigar :/

Yup, straight up can't even play the game anymore since they added more servers.
Launched earlier today and was fine just got stuck waiting for a spot since servers were maxed but now.... just black screen.

It's been like that since I bought the game.
Sometimes verifying the game files and then relaunching causes it to go pretty fast...
Otherwise, just wait 5-10 minutes and it will eventually load.

But don't complain too much or you'll have 30 idiots in here white knighting.

From the devs: the black screen is an issue related to server capacity, NOT the game itself. Doing any of these things will do nothing to solve your problem.

I've waited 30 minutes with no luck, restarted and tried again and am now at 16 minutes and counting. Isnt this published by a multi-billion dollar company? I know that the devs are fairly small, but doesnt this have Sony money behind it?!

I was able to fix it by turning off the firewall and launching the game, then turning the firewall back on. It seems that the firewall has always been a problem for the anticheat the game uses and it wont update sometimes.

Their servers are 'at capacity.' The black screen is what happens while the game tries to connect to the server and find a slot. It will likely be resolved in the next few days. We all just have to be patient. The game exploded and became far more popular than they expected it to be/planned for.

It is directly related to server load.

the black screen is the tutorial.. Just give it time why does no one have patience.


you should at least wait 4 hours like i did.

Just a note that after doing the procedure i mentioned above, the game did launch to a black screen for a solid 5 seconds or so before deciding to work after some funky screen flashes
