Is there a way to work around AVX?
Im using a Intel Xeon X5675 with OC its a really nice CPU which lasted me very long and with OC its very powerful, i can play anything with not problem, but i cant even open the game bc it says my CPU is not supported bc of AVX and mine doesnt have that apperantly, i have a new PC on the way anyway but it could take 1-2 weeks before its here, and i really want to play this game now, so i wondered if there is a work around for this or if i just have to wait until my new setup is here^^

You'd better wait for your new PC instead of play it with current server state
You won't enjoy it, trust me

Removal of AVX instruction set may reduce game performance. AVX was introduced in 2008.

but released in 2011
"They were proposed by Intel in March 2008 and first supported by Intel with the Sandy Bridge processor shipping in Q1 2011 and later by AMD with the Bulldozer processor shipping in Q3 2011"

so either way i have to wait a couple weeks for the hotfix(if any would come) or my new setup haha, sucks :/

avx open a lot of automatic code optimisation whenever a chunk of identical calculation needs to be done on a large set of data.

i cannot say how much of a difference it would make in helldivers, but id wager it would be rather noticeable with all the stuff happening on the map.

more importantly tho, its over 10 years old, at this point you shouldnt assume anything will work without it, its default for most modern compilers.

helldivers is actually the first game that i cant play bc it uses avx, i can literally play any other game in my pretty big libary, and yes it is time upgrade anyway my xeon served me very well and was cheap af (new rig on the way anyway) im just a very impatient person and wanna play now :(

odds are bad for playing now anyway with the server problems so just get that shiny new rig and meet us all on the other side when it's hopefully better

If you are always that impatient, consider getting new rigs/hardware directly from a computer store instead. This way you can just plug in and play on the same day you purchased it.

..i dont care how powerful of an overclock you had ..thats a CPU that is over 13 YEARS old..the minimum requirements is a 4790k....which came out in 2014...three years AFTER your own xeon...
