Now, if they could guaranteed crack open heavy armor on impact? Then we would be having a different conversation!
Impact grenades are not bad, so much as people as usual lie about how 'overpowered' anything capable of so much as scratching a trash mob is. mid grade problems hate em!
They are still full damage explosive grenades, so can be quite lovely for anti enemy duty if you want to kill ♥♥♥♥ with grenades that isn't practically grenade proofed.
But even as a guy who loves the extra grenades engineering bonus, I only use them when it is time to admit I won't give a ♥♥♥♥ about objective holes. Because even basic grenades love to wacky physics their way back out of a hole sometimes.
I know this is a plan that CAN work, but read it back to yourself and please consider how it sounds so much like you are lying to them hoping they kill themselves, or waste a grenade when the impact grenade hits a bot popping out of the door instead.
Impact grenade really is a poor tool for the job, even though it can technically manage. Encourage people to save them for "Throw it at the back of a tank. yeah bounce off the weak point NOW mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥!" instead.
Though walker wise, now I am curious if the splash zone of frag grenades is wide enough that throwing it behind them will kill the driver from a longer range.
