You all are clowns.
To everyone leaving a negative review of the game because they "can't connect" and that the devs should "fix their servers":

Do you really believe that a development team of less than 100 people can accommodate 350,000+ players on 2 different platforms at the same time?
In the first few weeks of launch?
Not to mention that Helldivers 1 had a max of around 9,000 players in total?
So HD2 far exceeds their playerbase expectations.
And you're mad at the developers???

If you want someone to be mad at, blame Sony for not giving them enough servers to begin with. With the amount of marketing this game had (which was very little prior to launch) it's amazing how it turned out the way it did.
Play something else while you're waiting in queue or come back a few weeks from now.

EDIT: Thanks for the free Steam Points suckers, I'm off to buy more useless garbage in the points shop and will go back to playing HD2 to spread some more MANAGED DEMOCRACY 🦅🦅🦅

Also, OP, it's not so much that a team of 100 cannot accommodate the player size. It's because they clearly were not anticipating this kind of reception. The first game was rather niche and they probably just manage their networking and got enough servers for a small player base that they thought they were going to have. And that makes sense because you wouldn't overspend on something if you're not expecting it to be that popular.
Even at 32 max dedicated servers, you have to have enough to accommodate that many groups of 32.

But having 32 people isolated multiple times over puts way less strain on servers than hundreds of thousands connecting to the same network at the same time. And, again, there's still the fact that there's offline single player and P2P private lobbies which is likely where the majority of people went to anyway.

No they can absolutely up the servers again.
They probably dont want to lock players out for hours again after everything thats happening.

But the servers need to change, its been going on all week and the weekend was barely playable, as i write this ive been waiting for about an hour with no indication of getting in.

People who paid for the product are entitled to something that works, as it stands it does not, so negative review it is until it does.

What people fail to realize is that this will cause irreparable long term damage. Sure not being able to play because of server issues is annoying, but this does not make Helldivers 2 bad. It just means that we have a great game here being plagued by a technical short term problem, which the devs are working hard to fix even during the weekend.

Is that really worth sabotaging and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the developers over for?

they just increased the player cap from 350,000 to 450,000 yesterday
they are working on it, but it's the weekend, so I don't know why you're expecting them to fix it right away which is supposedly most of the staff's day(s) off.
You have a job, right? Do you want to work the weekends?
Yeah I didn't think so.

Take that so-called "entitlement" and shove it up your ass.
It is a working product, and the fact that you can't wait for a couple of minutes to get in game in an already maxed-out player count is your fault and your fault alone.

You realize that Palworld is mostly p2p and dedicated servers are run by a ton of 3rd parties, like a lot of other survival game right? Almost nothing falls on the devs there besides crashes.

Someone in the forums explained the whole issue as to why it's vastly more difficult for a game like Helldivers to upgrade the server(s). Palworld basically has many instances of it running and doesn't need to communicate with each server (all they needa do is having instances of a Pal-World running), whereas Helldivers has the whole "war" going on that needs to constantly be communicated between the servers.

Something like that at least. Try and find the topic, it's an interesting read.

As for the topic, I'm sure Sony was expecting a good bit of player influx, but not THAT much. Thus do they now have to haphazardly increase server power - which, again, is more complex for a game of this type than Palworld.
Leaving bad reviews, while leaving a bad taste, is not a wrong thing. Customers have the right to know that the game has issues right now, which means less influx.

The thing I can't stand is if people give negative reviews out of spite and malice, because "let's add fuel to the fire". It won't magically fix the servers and the devs / Sony cannot work any quicker than they (hopefully) already do.

You're the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clown. Indie dev game Palworld launched and supports 1 million players daily?

The only thing I'm bummed about is missing out on gear that might pop up in the store.

No, I just believe they've marketed a game along with Sony's State of play backing/clout... And now thousands of people can't play what they paid for. If that makes me a clown, then honk honk b!!tch.
Tfw when publicity and advertising works well for sales is... This?
