The question is if you are going to be running it with everything maxxxxxxed out and 8k res or not.
Imo settings that matter the most like textures and effects can be dialed up no problem but like any aging GPU its the lighting, shadows, reflections and those type of things that really hits its performance.
I would not recommend anyone buying the game at this time though, plenty of crash issues + server issues that are bad enough its borderline impossible to play anywhere close to EU/US prime time.
Put it on wish list or w/e and check back in week/s or month/s to see if things are better.
Configuring demanding games for my Steam Deck has taught me that Textures gives you the best bang for the buck so I recommend OP setting Texture Quality to high or even maximum while turning down other settings like you suggested.
I don't know, for me it looks amazing, and runs quite well too, usually stays at 120 FPS for me, rarely dips below 90.
And that is everything on max settings on 4k.
Running it on medium. Works fine.
Even for this latest update they had officially announced the current unstable CTD, disconnecting and game freezing up come along together with this new update. We're looking at timeframe of next week for hotfix. Helldivers 2 is solid and fun game but is kinda in Early Access condition but I guarantee it still better than alot incompetent cash grab studio out there.
I play with a 1080ti and 5800x3d. Get 60fps solid at 1080p in fire fights. You'll be fine.
You can always try Hd gaming requires lower minimals then 2-4k gaming obv.
