This post has been reported to an officer of the Democracy Enforcing Division, given the subversive thoughts contained.
Have a cup of LiberTEA while you wait for processing.
As of right now the game devs have a hard time with matchmaking issues. They should priorise these technical issues and not invest time in ideas or suggestions like that.
For what reason should weapons or samples float? Would your car keys float if you throw them out of a boat by accident and they sink into a sea/lake/river? Its bad, but you can take care next time. You are human and allowed to make mistakes.
Learn from your mistakes and adapt to it. Its a game, so you cant always win, and you dont have to. You are not stuck in the middle of nowhere without car keys, you just respawn and do it better next time/round.
Loot doesnt need to float or gets pushed to the beach, just dont move into deep water when you carry tons of samples.
There is also no such thing as "griefing", the entire team gets the reward of samples and collected loot at the end of the match. The team loses points and rewards when players do not extract.
Wow the responses lol - So again - It was a base with a drop off and a small hole with water that I could not get out of.. No fun. It hasn't happened to me a lot but the game did let me swim a couple of times only to drown afterwards. The gear is apparently too heavy which is realistic in an unrealistic game. However... When one FALLS into a mini ocean and the edge / ledge is sooo small but I can't grab it and GET OUT OF said hole... it takes away a lof of fun. Dying is fine... respawning as well... but not being able to pick up my gear straight up sucks.
Put that in your LiberTea and smoke it ... wait... wha?
I have had enough griefing with people deliberately jumping in and losing rare/super samples.
I hear ya... I am reasonably okay though... I am not crying as of yet haha. According to Internet I am a basement dweller who lives with his mom... I don't care lol.
It not only loses you the loot but also the SSDs, and you cant finish the mission.
They are also super glitchy and often the surfaces around them will "suck" you into the water hole or down the cliff.
Its dumb.
Not only that, you glitch out and enter a state where you arent dead but you are also dead.
Clearly bugged.
So yes, fix it. Its also bad map design/coding.
See, there's your problem: you can't swim. As long as you remember "I can't swim," you'll be ok.
But I know the puddle you're talking about, and I think they put it there on purpose. For laughs, I assume.
