The Antimaterial Rifle is a lot less unwieldy than the Autocannon and does not use a backpack slot, giving you an option to wear a shield.
The Marksman Rifles are great against Bots not so great against bugs. On higher difficulties you will face a lot more visibility modifiers, which makes most engagements close to mid range.
I'll have you know I've shot at bugs at point blank range and been blown back plenty of times.
That thing's got some kick to it.
I dissagree... Shotgun is still better against bots +autocannon helps to pierce the armor. you dont need to aim ur 1 shot to achieve weakpoint, when you can make 2 shoots from shotgun and get same result imo
Anti materiel rifle needs a buff too.
It kills small pests in one shot andd only 2 headshots to kill bigger gray bugs.
It has amazing range, 20 bullets in magazine and 8 mags you can carry. This alone makes it even better than Breaker in many cases.
Breaker has only 16 shots and 7 mags. It can tho kill brood commandos/bile spewers with headshots in close range faster and exposed charger's legs. But I have seen at mid to long rangers not all pellets hitting the head of a bug meaning I need to spend even more to kill one.
For this reason I think Diligence can be much better with practice.
As for bile spewers and brood commandos I am simply using railgun and aiming for the head. Less ammo spent and much faster this way than any other.
As for the robots, just ability to being able to snipe of them from range is too great to past off.
Against bots, just headshot.
I bring expendable anti-tanks for the tank bots and use jetpack to get to their weakpoints. Anti-Mat rifle will kill about anything lighter than a tank or bile titan in 1 to 3 shots depending on if you can hit heads.
My favorite is killing Hulks from the front in 2 shots by hitting their eye.
6 mags with 8 bullets each was it? Well, long as you hit headshots then Anti-Material is super efficient against 99% of enemies. As for the Diligence, can wipe out bot patrols with a similar speed to an eagle strike with less risk of missing one of the enemies and getting a bot drop called.
Only struggles with these weapons are:
-Berserkers (I have a skill issue headshotting these guys. Just ant-mat rifle their arms usually.)
-Scout Striders (Takes 3 Ant-Mat shots if you don't get the drop on them)
-Chargers (possibly? I don't fight bugs often enough to remember them. Here to spill oil.)
-Tanks (Use heavier ordinance)
-Bile Titans (Use heavier ordinance)
just don't use the counter sniper until it gets changed
