Extreme and above difficulty tips and suggestions
For me it's too hard cause too many bugs at once, always two bile titans on screen, non stop action with low time to reload anti-tank weapons.

Once you unlock the personal shield pack, railgun, laser orbital and railgun orbital those bile titans are easy.

Easiest way to play is run a light armor stamina perk build then just out run everything and railgun every heavy armored thing and orbital titans and tanks. Still a challenge doing it solo though but gear helps.

Exactly what Bastilla said.
Also keep moving if you can, even running in circles will help since you can prevent enemies from getting on all sides.

Avoid patrols and random enemies on the way to objectives, we clutched a lvl 7 mission with 2 remaining objectives and no more respawns just by sneaking as much as we could.
It saves ammo and lives.

Ignore the bugs. Straight up, especially after todays update, Suicide+ just simply has too much armor. You'll waste all your stratagems, and ammo, and still have 5 chargers and 2 titans to deal with.

So best option. Ignore the enemies, just do the objectives. For evacuation, just run in circles around the point. I wish I was joking, but too much armor comes at you, no way you can handle it all during extraction.

lol thats exactly what me and one other guy did when we were the last 2 people with no more reinforcements, just circled the extraction zone until it came

If you do fight, you want to try to kill things as quickly as possible. Because everything calls reinforcements, and then if you are fighting out in the open random patrols will constantly find you and they will also call reinforcements.

If you can, when reinforcements are called, just sit there and kill everything as it comes out. As long as you only provoke one encounter at a time, you should be able to handle it.

People overlook Stalwart.

It's my trusty lil' boi for difficulty 9s. Huge clip, great mobility, good damage, doesn't need a backpack, reload on the go, accurate enough to take down a max size scout wave in a few seconds.

Plasma rifle primary, stalwart secondary. Either one can kill a charger by itself from 100% to 0% in roughly 15 seconds.

If you don't have plasma rifle, dominator is also good with this build. If you don't have that, then just use breaker.

Here's your tips:
Focus hunters always, practice diving while shooting against them/
Do not ever stop moving on 9. Juke everything, dive often.
Utilize terrain where it doesn't put you at a disadvantage; most bugs can't climb or jump.
Have a bile titan killer stratagem, use your guns for everything else.

It's an irregular build but, it suits me great. Stalwart is based and 9s are easy.

yeah, what myth said, also try to run around with your party and dont stray away even though they are morons and dont do objectives. ive had a mission where me and one other guy went for the canon objective, and my other 2 guys said "F you we are running straight to Narnia", eventually a titan + a couple of charges spawned and well we were reinforced half the map of the canon. So yeah, try to keep with your group

You do see that a lot, no matter how much people die. They all want to split up to try to do the map faster. If you die half way across the map, your team is going to respawn you next to them, so you will lose all your gear and also will have to walk all the way back to finish the objective. And even if you are badass, if they die then you respawn them near you, and they lose all their stuff and have to walk back.

So it is usually faster to stay as a team and clear all the objectives together.

Light armour + personal shield combo is king in high tier difficulty

You can also drop your hard found loot near the extraction point using the drop wheel (hold X) so if you die, you don't need to go find them again.

Mortar sentry is under rated. Set it up between nests or objectives and it will give you support for for a long ass time helping to take down heavy armour, and clearing enemies before they can get the drop on you.

Once you get used to it, know to bring the right kinds of stratagem, and know generally how to play against those kinds of numbers, difficulty 7-8 are actually pretty easy. Gotta manage spacing with the bugs and your team, balance thinning the trash and killing big guys, and use your stratagems to best effect.
Rager Mar 5, 2024 @ 8:05am
Ok best tip is, don't kill everything.

That is it. Run away kite things away, and if you want to play slower use stealth and smokes, but truth be told. Killing things rewards you nothing. So going into it you want to make sure you have tools that alpha strike, and clears a area quickly so you can get things done before a breach.

If you playing with others. Have one person kite the things away and someone else do objective.
I think the trick for me is I just run trash clear since everyone is likely to run Railguns.

I've seen more Grenade Launchers lately which is a welcome sight but people are still ineffective trash clearers with them just as many Railgun users don't know how to kill a charger.
But ultimately I'd rather I be clearing small bugs because it's a lot easier to run from the big ones, for me at least.

If you also decide to use Grenade Launcher:
You can 2 shot Brown Bile Bugs and 3 shot Green Bile Bugs.
You can deal with clumps of shrimps (hive guards).
You can deal with clumps of Commander bugs and their soldier lackeys.
Excellent weapon to quickly dispatch dense groups of small trash.

It also has the bonus utility of being good at killing bug holes and hatchery eggs.

It can't kill anything with heavy armor though, it takes too much ammo it's a genuine waste.
