The missions can be repetitive but are very fun, I play solo and with friends and its a lot of fun.
This is one of those games where you're doing the same things over and over, and if you enjoy the gameplay then you can easily put in hundreds of hours. If you're only here to see and test equipment then you'll probably get bored before even unlocking everything - you'll see gear being used by others etc. It might even be better to watch a lets play or something if the gameplay isn't your cup of tea.
For me, this type of game is right up my alley. I love co-op survival game like this. I've got 889 hrs in insurgency playing mostly Co-op, 925hrs in KF2, 381 in Mordhau again mostly horde, 379hrs in KF1, and around 440 in EDF4.1 and 5 combined.
What keeps me coming back is how chaotic higher difficulties are, which tend to reward good teamwork and adaptability. I've not seen the max difficulty in HD2 yet it's looking promising.
