This game is amazing fun and has amazing potential, but they seriously need to fix this.
It may have - I only played Helldivers 1 well past its heyday for the most part.
But I somehow doubt it would have been this bad, because the peak player count of that game was an order of magnitude lower than this game - more than that actually.
I fully understand WHY the servers are breaking and they are struggling. I have been playing their games since Magicka back over a decade ago, and this game is their first game of this scale even remotely - in terms of production quality or ambition.
Helldivers 1 had a peak concurrent player count on Steam of about 7,000 players.
Helldivers 2 has a peak concurrent player count of 276,000 and will almost certainly climb higher than that (assuming they fix the issues) - I estimate it could go as high as 350,000 or 400,000 at this rate (that's only on Steam mind you, there are also Playstation players).
That's a peak player count so far that is literally 40 times higher than they had in their last release. They might have planned for it to have 5 times the number of players (especially for a higher budget game), sure, but not 40 times.
If they don't have it sorted in the next 2-4 days though, I will be worried about the future of the game. Because no matter how good the game is - if people cannot play it, it will get slammed even more in reviews and sales will drop alongside player expectations. Of course the game is already a financial success I believe even if they did nothing more, but there's so much promise for the future of this game.
What are you talking about bro? xD
Do you want it to fail that hard that you need to make stuff up?
So you still haven't upgraded your plan with your service provider?
Another thing you could do to help log in is stop cooking toast with your "computer" while trying to play games.
