really ign?

with all the problems this game has ign gave it a 9. the constant disconnects, the always online, the devs silencing anyone who complains on their discord, the janky menu and tons more. this is not a 9 out oof 10 game. yes its fun and i have a lot of hours in it because of that but the bias towards sony is crazy.

I'm betting reviewers like IGN had some special reserved server slot so they don't see the same issues we do. This is a fairly common practice like how hardware companies send the better binned CPUs and GPUs to big name reviewers.

they review the game before consumers get access to it. reviews are a big part of advertising.

I would never follow a website review or these "gaming journalism" MOST...MOST time they are just paid by the development team to give good reviews...check diablo 4 critics made by journalists or videogame websites, same with starfield...if you want to get a review, I rather check streamers or small gamers they tend to be more honest and they made it clear when its an ad...but some also get carried by the hype...but its not often

A review is based on the experience that the reviewer had and what their personal preferences are.

If a reviewer didn't encounter issues, it's dishonest to pretend they did just for other people's sake.

9/10 is more like a 7-8/10 when you are talking about IGN.

IGN gets an incentive to give good scores, especially anything with names like Sony on it. Game obviously is fun enough but the glazing the game gets makes no sense, they have to be playing a completely different game. My experience is mostly spent dealing with the servers still not working or dealing with random crashes. Certainly not a 9/10 game
