Mortars I am getting less mad about as the deaths increase, because of how often somebody uses them at a sane time... and then they drop the mortars right on top of the team in an open empty clearing by the mortar, instead of the enemy still 500 feet away from us.
Meanwhile, I probably got the opposite extreme too much.
Good news. I have still NEVER killed someone with my most frequent strategems. Even when they run closer.
Bad news. Because gattling barrage is very small and weak, precision is newbie friendly building buster, and stun EMS is nonlethal, and eagle rocket spends half the time missing everything on purpose.
Luckily, the only one to die to my turrets so far is myself!
Now, jumping in front of my guns however... yeah that is a frequent oopsie for me. "Aw ♥♥♥♥. I'm so sorry I was in first person aim mode"
The (friendly fire) damages were "4690" "2177" "2390" and I had just "59" lol. I even died in the end to one of them shooting his autocannon AT ME I had a huge pack behind me as I was running to the pelican and he shot me XD guess I looked like a bug.
Mortars, unannounced Tesla Towers and the Arc Thrower are my top 3 causes of death when TKd. I do sometimes die to landmines but it's because they're invisible to me and although I see a clear path it seems that I actually stepped on one, even worse when they're fire ones and I can't see the fire.
Teslas and shock guns seem designed bad on purpose. one extraction I ALMOST died when a shock rifle hit a charger, arced through the dropship model, and hit me on the opposite side of the landing platform 200 feet away.
We were both very confused. They were so sorry and I wasn't even mad because "That is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun design, you were a mile away from me"
Also yeah, magic ghost landmines or mines hidden by ragdolled corpses are a frequent killer when everybody knows they are coming and agrees it can be a good time for the. "oh boy, we found the dropped samples" BAM.
This is why it is important to not just scream like a baby "skill issues". Because that tricks people into thinking common sense matters and that skill will save you. Warn people the devs made janky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ instead.
Teach people the flaws and videogame ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moon logic, and even average gamers they will become more powerful than skill does all by itself. You don't think people beat ornstein and smough by trying to shame them "Excuse me, this is a realistic game with skill based combat!" until they stopped no-clipping their spear and lightning bolts through smoughs fat ass do you?
I was on the receiving end.
