I do not however suggest that we delay the mission to go daisy-picking if we haven't found it by the time we're done.
I currently have 110 rare samples, 70 super rare samples, and 0 common samples.
"Common" samples are the real super rare ones you'll need to upgrade all of your stuff, most people probably have already done half a dozen helldiver missions gathering the "super rare" samples so they probably won't ever need them again.
Basically do the same with group of friends I run with. If objectives are done then we'll go around lookin a bit but no point going out of your way if your main/secondary objectives are not done yet.
I need more common than anything.
We usually have about 10-20 green samples per helldiver run, and almost trip over them, so to speak.
I have 120 common samples. They drop a ton in the lower difficulty. Doing difficulty 4 or 5, I can get up to 15 common samples.
And just randomly running around map chasing unknown isn't that effective method when 17 Bile Titans are following you around.
Also, pro tip, when you find the super sample, drop them at the extraction point. They will never despawn and you don't have to run the risk of having to go into a bad place for them later.
