Farming exp is pointless though...your unlocks stop at 20 in the current game, which means you'll eventually hit max. I mean you do you, but I'm not gonna bore myself with defense missions.

I have, in fact, hit max. i just keep playing because it's fun and i like it.

It's more of a straightforward bug that you can easily replicate. To be fair though, with four people running double mortars, auto cannon, and rocket sentries you can afk and farm Medals. Need hundreds of them anyways for the pass so, might as well.

If I were you, I won't use exp as this trick selling points, medals is where it's at here.
And if you are lucky you will get 2 of these in the same operation which mean more medals.
