Never again buy a AMD Graphic card.
I have always used Nvidia but decided this one time to get a 7900 XTX Taichi to go with my 7800X3D and what do I get? Crash, Crash, Crash.
I rolled back the drivers and got rid of Adrenalin software and it ran with half the amount of crashes. Then it reinstalled its self and can't get through one round.
So 4 months of AMD Trash is long enough. I will sell this and get a 4080Super.
I put in my sons 3080TI and it ran perfectly so it is the AMD card. Who knows maybe in 2 months AMD will have a game driver ready because these game devs dont care much for AMD Either, dont blame them.

Yup. I've got a 7800 XT and more often than not I can't finish a mission because of driver timeout issues.

makes me glad i haven't upgraded from a 1070 yet.

Nvida have always been a staple GPU, but CPU is a fair game since Intel drop the ball for a while now.

7900xtx here and zero crashing. Just turn off global ilum and Anti aliasing.

Its not the card itself, AMD video drivers have been trash for years.

Sapphire Nitro 6800XT SE both me and my wife on our PCs and we NEVER had issues since day 1.

Also, the issue is from the 7000 series and that is to be expected... the drivers are pretty "fresh".

And not that Nvidia users are NOT having issues... there are issues all over the place with FRESH drivers too for a lot of people...

So, no, it's not "only" AMD cards...

I have a 7900xtx and did global illumination and AO, have my fps locked at 165 and hardly crash due to drivers. Its the game, not the card, this card is a beast!

Just disable real time global illumination, I did and no more crash so far (7900XTX Gigabyte OC)

Pretty sure the PC illiterates blame hardware when it's probably themselves installing questionable garbage and bloat.
Wait you crash and blame AMD? but why is my rx 6700 xt working fine, do you have any evidence to blame AMD?

Do you play 15 minute sessions? Because I just turned off EVERYTHING, limited fps to console dumpster territory and managed to play ONE full round out of 7 attempts... :)

I have a RX 7900 XT. Never get a single problem on any game that I played. I don´t have HELLDIVERS 2. But you talk like AMD hardwares sucks for every game. That is totally false.

Nvidia hardware get obsolete so much faster than AMD.

Sounds like Windows Update is replacing your drivers if you are on windows 10/11 pro try this.

win+r type gpedit.msc then navigate to Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage updates offered from Windows Update > click Do not include drivers with Windows Updates and set to enabled.

This solves most issues for me.

AMD often crashes games or drivers cos AMD is not mainstream enough sometimes devs force thru wrong shaders on AMD gpu's you cant force NVIDIA shaders on AMD gpu's cos it causes issues, altho i assume most developers if not all of them are good enough to know how to program vendor= amd set shaders to AMD or vendor=NVIDIA set shaders to NVIDIA etc

If worked with developer before debuging sons of the forest had a shader that would cause driver time outs for many 7900 XTX users, they eventually fixed it, at some point got unfixed but now its in a fixed state again.

Just share your feedback do not be to harsch on AMD, unless your favorite game keeps crashing and you are frustated, but try to provide as much information as possible and remain polite, its obviously not intended the devs from the last of us part 1 had many crash fixes for AMD gpu's as well, looks like they'll have to debug this game as well, usually they manage to do that them self unless issue only effects some and they fail to reproduce it them self in rare case.

AMD drivers are sometimes my frustation as well especially in dying light 2 currently has rgb laser show bug with 7900 XTX in one specific cutscene and driver time outs, or world of warcraft that has been broken for 444+ days

or Elden Ring that exclusively crashes in fullscreen exclusive but not borderless but bassicly requires it for HDR

You just got to be lucky that driver devs also playing this game, and that its their favorite game or they will simply ignore it, in this case i doubt they ignore it tho.

There is also a preview driver of 24.2.1 the real 24.2.1 driver probably comes after weekend, driver is for helldivers 2 and has some improvements in stability does not mention its fixed, i think that would be inapropiate in this case since probably still has issues.

So, team red here, but I'm curious, why ?

Blame the devs, not AMD. AMD cant do anything about this game crashing, it is 100 percent on the devs to deal with (and they are aware of an investigating the issue) You will get the same amount of general issues on an Nvidia GPU. Go look at the reddit and all the complaining about issues, with people still using a months old driver.

AMD released the game ready driver for this game yesterday, they cant do anything more, its literally the devs problem to deal with.
