CPU usage 100 percent
Anyone else just start having the game eat up 100% cpu? It was running fine up until about 30 minutes ago and now its super heating my CPU. Not a hardware issue, can run any other game fine without it spiking in temperatures. my frames are capped to 144 and even lowered the quality to lowest in the game and it still happens.

EDIT: it is not a PC issue for the people who arent experiencing it, I dont care to here "Its not happening to me!" Game was working fine until recently, happened mid game where temps spiked and now CPU usage is constantly at 100 percent. It is strictly the anticheat and game using all cpu, even after closing everything it continues to eat up any available cpu. I see some other people have randomly had similar problems, I am asking to see if it started effected anyone else and what they did to fix it

Mine is staying below 50%
So maybe you installed weird crap in your PC that is eating up extra CPU.

At most mine sits at 30% but I have my framerate capped at 60.

Yes, it's happening to a ton of people regardless of specs

I just wanted to point out that lowering graphics quality tends to load up the CPU more than not.

If you are CPU bound, generally increasing the graphics settings alleviates strain on the CPU by shifting the burden onto the GPU.

That being said, hitting 100% in a game is generally not normal, and would indicate multiple threads being saturated.

I have an i9-14900k and I barely noticed this. I game with a headset on so I couldn't hear my fans going crazy until recently. Anyone know of a fix ?

No and the devs haven't even acknowledged the problem

maybe its nProtect?

gameguard itself is using up to 12% CPU at times but the game process I've seen go upwards of 80%
there's something seriously wrong with its utilization of available CPU resources, the more you free up the more it takes.

Antivirus software will do this as part of its background scanning routines
You can disable this manually while running games, its often listed as "game mode" no the CPP dont care about your vintage pornography folder :emofdr:
Older GPUs and CPUs will be sharing more workload in modern titles, if your GPU is faster than your CPU the CPU will not be able to keep up with draw calls. If your GPU is slower than your CPU the CPU will be idling as its easily filling all the draw calls.

My 9700k is the CPU the developers recommend. It should not be getting maxed out because presumably they tested it before recommending it.
People with better CPUs than mine are experiencing the same problem. It's not a matter of processing power, the resources aren't being used correctly.
I'm not disabling Windows antivirus to not have a game melt my CPU. The developers need to fix their mistake.

9700k user here. Confirm the 100% CPU usage still not being fixed.
The only way to reduce CPU usage that worked for me is to put resolution in Ultra Supersampling (but then the game slows down to 30 fps because my 2080TI can't handle it)

I set my Display Mode to fullscreen (by default borderless window) and noticed like about 20% cpu usage drop. If it's set to fullscreen and you press the windows key, you see the cpu usage going up again while in the background, weird...

Fans are chill now too.

It's crazy cuz I'm using a Ryzen 7 5800 with a 3080 ti and most games (if any) don't shoot up my cpu performance as much as this game does. I honestly thought I was the only one having issues and thought my pc was goin through something lol. Saw on the task manager though that their Anti-Cheat is what's taking up most of the usage. Trying to find solutions but I feel like there won't be any good ones until they pit out some sort of update to change this in the future.
