I just started playing a few nights ago. Great game, but this gameguard crap is going to cost the Devs of this game. I sometimes have to try and connect (via Steam) dozens of times before it works. All with the gameguard crash error.

Anyone have a solution other than deleting the game and moving on?

Well this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "anti cheat" is known trash. The only reason they used it was to protect the micro transactions. It runs from boot on your system and has been proven to be next to impossible to remove. I will not buy a game that forces that kind of trash. Sad because I would like to play the game and support the smaller developers but I absolutely will not and the reason is trash anti cheat spyware used. There are a few videos on removing this on youtube but I think most of them miss the point. Even showing hidden folders and removing and regkeys from your system I doubt removes this at the root level. Best thing is to never buy a game that uses a Chinese app based anti cheat for reasons not disclosed and the only way I would trust it would be to reinstall windows all together.

im deleting., idk what happens. playing the game. PC freaks out alt tabbing, spamming the capslock and scroll lock keys, it opens some windows feedback page idk what, types 2 sentences in chinese then sends it, tries to open my email...... this is scuffed.,

Then your mouse started moving on its own and navigated to your Wells Fargo page and tried to send money to some offshore account in Thailand. Thankfully you were quick enough to unplug your power adapter in time.

Yea. They lost tons of $$$ just because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti cheat causing people issues and making people reluctant to buy the game because of it.

Hmmm... 2 million units sold and still global top seller on Steam a week later... I don't think people care about the anticheat man. Just take the L with grace this is just embarrassing.

You act like EAC didn't have issues in the past. The only reason people scream about gameguard is because it is primarily in eastern games and thus has no exposure to the west, it had the same rocky start that EAC did and had similar improvements that EAC did.

A "legit, good reputation anticheat" Like EAC right? The crap that doesn't work to begin with? If you're worried about data privacy EAC is owned by Epic, which Tencent has a 40% stake in. Basically you want these guys to pay for another more expensive anticheat that doesn't work and is practically owned by the CCP.

After 1,000.007 patch i can never open the game without a VPN due to Gameguard update problem,F**k this anti-cheat crap.

Honestly, I haven't had a single problem with the anti-cheat, maybe your firewall is blocking it at times and thats why your getting the error? That said nProtect is basically bottom of the barrel for being actually useful as a anti-cheat just like Easy Anti-cheat is basically worthless as well. What I am mad about is how these anti-cheats almost never come with a uninstaller usually, and stuff like nProtect stays behind after you remove the game, most likely still collecting info on you and sending it somewhere, I usually block it in firewall after I remove the game, as removing these anti-cheats can be a real pain in the arse with how deep they embed themselves.

Gameguard is still going to be on your PC after you uninstall though.
