Was a faulty batch of coolers in the end , nothing to do with the CPU overall, sorted now.

Well i apologise to devs and ill edit the title, as i changed a function in bios called TPU to TPU 1 , it set the CPU to 4.2 yet now the temp is 60c area max, im gonna have to do soem serious reading.

How can a higher clock give a lower temp now lol.

Jesus, my ryzen 5900x(gpu 3060) barely gets over 50c and that is oc'd.... Only running a 240mm water cooler with dual fans (outflow)

you seem to be at tjmax and thermal throttling occasionally, adjust your cooling
the temperature itself is not a problem

Its a watercooled CPU and 18c ambient right now, i think its a bios setting issue, please watch the most recent video before commenting www.youtube.com/shorts/-m6agP70XkE

If i set a function in the bios called TPU to TPU 1 i now get 4.2 at much lower temps.

i also have one 90c is a little high but for me i get atleast 70-90c and not any higher, the idle temps for the 5800 averages around that anyway no matter what game your playing.
so imo thats normal.

Really it is about airflow and fan setups,(OC is a different animal) I run pretty good fans (noctua fans 6 total) 3 draw air in, 3 draw air out and the cpu cooler(water) is at the top of the case drawing air out. Water cooler is a kraken because i figured GPU might cook poor CPU(heat rises). GPU gets to be 60-80c but those monster eat power and run hotter than the sun. Plan according and don't cheap out when it comes to cooling sadly new GPU's are hell bent on cooking you're pc for you're entertainment, don't let it....
