Their game sold well because it's well designed. There wasn't any accident. I say this as somebody with 500 hours on Deep Rock.
Tell me you weren't there without telling me you weren't there.
I know talking is free.
But lying to make a point is bad, mkay?
lol
I laughed and got McFuzz's point without being pedantic about it. It's something anyone can do.
There's a lot of guess work involved with capacity planning, but I'd rather have the problems they have right now -- people trashing the backend -- than the problems other studios are having: not enough people want to play your game.
I love that.
Get some perspective bud.
Anthem. Rofl. Jesus Christ.
If your computer is overheating, that is a hardware issue. Either poor quality or poorly setup.
The only way software could be responsible for this is if it overrides the power limits of the system.
Shutting down can also be the result of hardware configuration error. A common problem since the 6000/3000 series is not using separate cables for the 8-pin power connector. Daisy chaining these videocards can easily result in hard locks, restarts and shutdowns.
These cards will work fine until a certain style of workload hits them, transients spike, and then the most common accusation is "there's something wrong with x program".
Definitely with ya
All my buddies are already getting anthem flashbacks. Immediately loved the game and then friends started to stop playing cause they couldn't get through a night or lost all rewards for that night (which is absolutely BS to put in hours and get nothing), that was anthem. Well that's already happening with HD2. Anyone saying different is just very hopeful. Guaranteed next weekend will be a bad time again. And once the playerbase drops off from server issues it won't matter how good this game could've been. The funding will stop, the development will stop and that will be the end, like anthem. Anthem even had a story (not the greatest) and this games story is literally just 1 cinematic and captions/voice prompts the rest of the way. Just a drop in grinder to unlock new weapons and strategems which I've almost entirely unlocked so already feeling stale at week 2. Not to mention the inconsistent mission balances, armor class glitches, Evac ship glitches, getting stuck on environment. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the game when it works however it's not working and I've already blown through content that's out now so hopefully the servers stabilize, the money keeps flowing and they make new content for the game to keep it fresh , as a live service game should
