The New Anthem 2024
Do you guys remember The game " Anthem " ? During the beta test the game ran perfectly, no issues, no fps drop, no crashes. The first day of the release the game was the same , no issues at all UNTIL They decided to give us the 1st day patch and that ruined everything for everyone.
Of course there were people who didn't experience issues , or the issues were minor that didn't really affect them, but most people suffered while playing the game.

Now it seems in 2024 Helldivers 2 will be known as the new Anthem, a game that was running perfectly at the begining, no issues, until they decided to give us a patch or few patches that messed everything up, because when you try to fix something, you end up messing something else.

Many people having overheating issues , many people experiencing pc shutting down , you understand how $·"·$"% it has to be to make your pc shut down? ....

People don't "accidentally" purchase products.
No, they ACCIDENTALLY sold a lot more copies than they had the capacity to support, the people didn't accidentally buy it jesus christ lol
No, they didn't "accidentally" do anything. You're incorrectly using that term.

Their game sold well because it's well designed. There wasn't any accident. I say this as somebody with 500 hours on Deep Rock.

It's probably drugs. You smoke a bit of crack and next thing you know, you own 78'000 copies of Helldivers 2. Accidents happen.
I legitimately had a friend that got exceptionally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and on a dare bought one of those massive oil drums of lube on Amazon. It's just in his garage now.

You're right, they definitely intended to sell hundreds of thousands more copies than they had the capacity to support by their own admission how could I be so silly

Tell me you weren't there without telling me you weren't there.

I know talking is free.
But lying to make a point is bad, mkay?

I laughed and got McFuzz's point without being pedantic about it. It's something anyone can do.

There's a lot of guess work involved with capacity planning, but I'd rather have the problems they have right now -- people trashing the backend -- than the problems other studios are having: not enough people want to play your game.

Lmao, this is nowhere near the level of suck that Anthem was.

Get some perspective bud.

I sadly loved Anthem, still think it was so cool and loved the designs. I still dont know why that game died and still hope it could come back to life again. Not gonna lie, its terribly disappointing that Helldivers 2 is having issues. I hope it wont suffer the fate of Anthem.

Good God this forum has some of the worst takes I've ever seen. You guys are topping reddit with moronic garbage like this.

Anthem. Rofl. Jesus Christ.

If your computer is overheating, that is a hardware issue. Either poor quality or poorly setup.

The only way software could be responsible for this is if it overrides the power limits of the system.

Shutting down can also be the result of hardware configuration error. A common problem since the 6000/3000 series is not using separate cables for the 8-pin power connector. Daisy chaining these videocards can easily result in hard locks, restarts and shutdowns.

These cards will work fine until a certain style of workload hits them, transients spike, and then the most common accusation is "there's something wrong with x program".

Definitely with ya

All my buddies are already getting anthem flashbacks. Immediately loved the game and then friends started to stop playing cause they couldn't get through a night or lost all rewards for that night (which is absolutely BS to put in hours and get nothing), that was anthem. Well that's already happening with HD2. Anyone saying different is just very hopeful. Guaranteed next weekend will be a bad time again. And once the playerbase drops off from server issues it won't matter how good this game could've been. The funding will stop, the development will stop and that will be the end, like anthem. Anthem even had a story (not the greatest) and this games story is literally just 1 cinematic and captions/voice prompts the rest of the way. Just a drop in grinder to unlock new weapons and strategems which I've almost entirely unlocked so already feeling stale at week 2. Not to mention the inconsistent mission balances, armor class glitches, Evac ship glitches, getting stuck on environment. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy the game when it works however it's not working and I've already blown through content that's out now so hopefully the servers stabilize, the money keeps flowing and they make new content for the game to keep it fresh , as a live service game should
