New Hulk Bruiser
Anyone miss the old version who fired missiles at you instead of those heavy lasers? Get hit once, you get knocked down and are at the mercy of the Hulk's aiming on whether he finishes you off or not. Mixed with the awful limb health, you'd get either one shot just like that or sometimes two shot. I take random missiles over that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laser any day. I also question how missing the Hulk's eye by even one pixel doesn't do squat for an instant kill if you're using weapons like the Railgun. Just how does a overcharged shot just inches away from the eye not also kill it? Makes no sense at all, besides preventing us from killing it so easily without rocket launchers

Factory striders, tanks, and hulks are really going to make you wish you had AT.
Hulks are very easy to kill with every one of those weapons except the GL; but to be fair, the GL is not even in the same category of the other three. Factory striders are easily disarmed with the same weapons, and once it's disarmed and the escorts are out, it's relatively easy to kill them with the AMR and AC. Sure a dedicated AT is more convenient and allow to kill them at range, but in a team it's likely you have at least one AT option. So normally someone should have something to deal with tanks anyway.

Curious that you mention the AMR, the AC and the RG given that those weapons can kill absolutely everything in the bot front, with the HMG also being a very capable weapon in that regard. Not that i'm dismissing the complains; the ragdoll is excessive, but specifically hulks, specially the ranged ones, are not a terribly hard enemy to deal with even in numbers.

They're a little annoying if they catch you by surprise, but the end result is the same: ragdoll Hulk. At least they're pretty easy to kill. And their accuracy over range isn't great.

I'm not saying they can't deal with heavier units.

(Also to note they can't deal with the factory striders heavy cannon).

But you forger these units are almost always paired up and facing you.

Individually yes they aren't an issue when faced alone, but as an entire bot drop?

I'd almost say no.

But it's not a challenge at all lmao. It's a random annoyance at best, which is why it's terrible design.
I think it's a little more than "little annoyance" for those who create threads like this, screaming and complaining about "bad design"
old hulk was better... And new Hulk might be too squishy. Having to shoot a leg or a limb to slow it down was an interesting mechanic. But naaaaaah... Helldivers: Global Offensive

New bruiser hulk is definitely effectively stronger and a worse problem since they desired less ragdoll (hence rocket nerfs at all, and this gave this hulk more ragdoll).

But I like the creativity behind giving it a totally new weapon, I just think it should be far less repeatable and problematic. These things are effectively worse than tanks since they're much more mobile and effectively more lethal, and will pursue as needed yet stay a distance as also needed.

So I don't want to see it necessarily totally going away. You could maybe bring back the rockets and thus make a new variant of Rocket Hulk. The variety is nice, just tame it essentially. Actually, bringing in rocket hulks means these also would spawn less often too.

Actually, i think they can damage the heavy cannon of the factory strider, even if slightly. The RG for sure. The AMR, AC and HMG would have to try them again, but i think i destroyed a factory strider with the AMR recently. Or was playing high.

Anyway, that's the thing about bot drops (or spawns). Same with bugs. You cannot deal with the hulk because the chaff are shooting at you, but you cannot deal with the chaff because the hulk is also shooting at you. And you cannot call for an airstrike because of the 12 berserkers appearing at your back. In the end is a team game, and a degree of knowledge and tactical thinking is needed. Still they should tone down a lot of the RNG, in my opinion, but it is what it is.

they didnt give it a new weapon. They took the worst enemy in the entire game and made it the most common enemy the game...

Git gud as they say in hell... Helldiver.
