PCI-E Root port errors causing game crash minutes after launching, game still crashes even after fixing the root port error.
Hello, if staff could look into this that would be great. since april 5th, 2024, I have had an issue with helldivers 2 where the game will only stay launched for roughly a few seconds to a minute after launching. I have played 120 hours prior to this happening and my specs can handle the game very well. the first issue causing this I located was in a PCI-E root port error that would appear from the WHEA logger and this would appear about four times when the game was running and then crashing. Upon further analysis, the rootport that was throwing errors was the PCI express root port under the hardware id: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A74D&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_01
things I tried and their success rate:
-rolling back nvidia drivers to before april 5th when the errors first appeared on event viewer (this did not work, used ddu as well)
-updating and installing intel chipset drivers (this did not work)
-going into bios and disabling any option with PCIE power savings and management (did not work)
-reinstalling on three different harddrives to rule out file corruption(this did not work)
-disabling full screen optimizations and running in admin mode (this did not work)
-undervolting cpu with an offset of -0.050 V (this did not work)
-getting rid of any programs installed around the date the errors appeared as to rule out their involvement (did not work)
-resetting bios settings to default (did not work)
-clearing shader cache (did not work)
-updating bios to new bios version (this cleared up the PCI-E Root port error and the error hasnt reappeared but the game still crashes with no indication of why other than one crash log from when it crashed for the first time after reinstalling)
this crash log is: "Failed to get DRED breadcrumbs: 887a0004.
Failed to get DRED page fault output: 887a0004."
after updating bios to a newer version, the game instead of crashing within seconds now crashes within a few minutes
my specs are:
CPU:Intel i7-13700K
GPU: FE 4070
(i should mention, my wallpaper turned black around the time the errors popped up, and didnt return to normal until after rolling back drivers to march and updating bios to new version.)

Having the exact same issue.
I previously had this issue and then it magically went away on its own and then reappeared with the most recent update.

Honestly sounds like a hardware issue with the MB but who knows. Good luck.

Thats a hardware or deep driver issue not game related , exchange Motherboard or your GPU and try again if windows 11 24 2h rollback to 23 2h as test.

In BIOS/UEFI search for "PCI-Express Native Power Management" and disable it
