Active players have dropped.
The number of active players has dropped significantly. I feel the game is good but can use tons of work and better content, an offline mode would be perfect. Also, maybe Xbox support to bolster the numbers and longevity of the game.

An offline mode...in a team shooter...

that's called friends only in options.

You need to understand that logic doesn't apply to any of the posts about the amount of people playing the game.

Pointing out that it's not prime time, or that loss of players after launch is something literally every game suffers from will not be counted as legitimate arguments.

I'm thinking we try the Chewbacca defence next.

No it hasn't. For the last few months it's been relatively stable at around 140000 players. That's based off of people playing at any given time and not in correlation with work schedules, timezones, and downtime between playing other games.

No surprise since company is filled with people that hate their player base.

wont be long and the "game is dead" crowd will arrive because we fell under 100k players over 3 days

No one cares.

the game is good but it became repetitive quickly for me

No, an offline mode meaning and offline mode with bots. HD2 will not last without better support. An offline mode ensures the legacy of the game continues as the numbers drop and people just stop playing. Most importantly that we can play when servers inevitability go offline.

Why do we get one of these Threads every Week or so?
Its like people have a hard-on for this game to finally fail or something. Player numbers fluctuate, its completely natural

That's a discussion for 9 months from now maybe, or what ever they want to do with it at the time.

But no, an offline mode is not required for a live service game.

Bruh. It's normal for every game out there to drop in player count after few days after launch but HD2's player count is way higher not after few days but after 2 months even. 200K+ only on steam during peak hours is HEALTHY.

The player drop happened when the game started crashing constantly after a patch a few back, and the Dev's hotfixed it within 24 hours. Player numbers drop on weekdays.

I disagree. It doesn't need to be an online only game as the only reason it is, is to pretend there some type of war effort progress. It's a simple game that isn't complex enough to warrant being online only. Drop in, complete the objective and leave. Rinse dry repeat. Deep Rock Galactic is pretty much the same game, only it's also a game you can continue playing offline. HD@ is new and it's just become repetitive.
