Toxic gas armor?
I thought the new armor was going to offer a resistance to toxic gas, and it doesn't, so now I'm wondering if people would be mad if the devs eventually added that ability to the armor, and added new toxic gas abilities, like grenades.

Booster-
Improved Respirators: 80% resistance to airborne acids/toxins.

They should make the armor/mask immune to toxic gas as a new feature

We were hoping for fire res based off the fire buffs, thermite grenades and this description of the armours pre-release:

“These are the names of the new sets with some fun flavor text from Arrowhead:

CE-07 Demolition Specialist (Light): Originally worn by Lunar terraformers, this suit can withstand rapid changes in pressure, heat, and personal velocity.
CE-27 Ground Breaker (Medium): “The ground is just another obstacle that hasn’t yet been cleared.” – SGM Janet Jones, Excavation Corps Founder.
FS-55 Devastator (Heavy): Domestic versions of this armor allow colonial farmers to safely plant crops and mines side-by-side while staying in one piece.”

Rapid changes in pressure, heat and personal velocity.

This is a common misconception. The gas is not poisonous. It is corrosive. An air filtration system won't protect you against being dunked in acid.

Teflon armour.

Could still be some kind of armour made of a futuristic acid proof material
I'd love to see a "Tox set", with armour, grenedes and the Avenger from HD1

Well, look at it this way: The electric resist armor is completely useless. There are no enemies who will attack you with zaps (for now, at least), and it's completely negated by having teammates that just don't zap you.

If that's how the gas resist armor is, count me out. Armor like the electric resist need more than one perk to make them viable.

Ohhh boy, you're in for a surprise once the Illuminate return. They used electricity a lot in HD1.

And what if it was a booster? "Improved respirators: 80% resistance to airborne acids/toxins."

I should have been more clear but yeah, Illluminate is exactly why I said "for now."

But respirators don't keep you from getting melted. Toxic gas affects bots, too.

I'm worried you may be overthinking this. Acid protection is possible, and the point is to allow the spread of democracy.
