Can We Talk about Fog?
How is it most planets are covered in dense, completely obscuring fog that ONLY effects us? Enemies have no trouble picking you off from 400m away with a rocket, but holy good god, we can't see a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing??

Most planets have this ♥♥♥♥ on it too, it's wild, every planet is like:

Rain - makes it hard to see
Acid - hard to see
Fog - hard to see
blizzard - hard to see
sandstorm - hard to see
dense fog - hard to see

Like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ man, can they be a little bit more creative with the planets? Some of them for the major orders are actually just miserable to play on because of it. Wanna add to the list of things that make DMR/Marksman rifles bad too? Fog. Cant even use the intended distance on those.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

♥♥♥♥ Fog.

Rant over.

Your argument is worthless. You could literally just write "blergh' and it would have more value. It is wrong on so many levels that i fear that explaining it to you will be pointless.

Attention to what details? I still remember the old snowy planets at release and they were without any fog or haze. Now absolutely ALL planets on the automaton side have that bs fog. Even snowy. Except snowy planets have only light white fog.

But every planet now in a fog of different colors depending on the lighting. Green? Okay, here is a planet with a "toxic green" environment and lighting and, as a result, green fog. A fiery hot planet with fire tornadoes? Okay, here's a red fog that makes your eyes hurt. And I'm talking right now only about cosmetic visual fog, not about weather effects. And do you know what the joke is? The fact is that at certain moments this haze disappears for a few seconds and then appears back.

different planets with different environments... SURPRISE... look different and cause unique flavor to the experience. these additional challenges are intended to cause you problems. that is the point. if you cant overcome them then you are one of those people the developers are describing when saying "a game for everyone, is a game for no one"

sure whine about it. you're still gonna quit even if they dumbed the experience down for you because that is who you are. you're a quitter and a whiner. You are literally blaming the 'sky' for why you suck at the game. look at yourself. how much do you do this for other parts you our life? just like the game you'll burn out IRL as well with this mindset.

>Drop down
>Can't see ♥♥♥♥
>Chose different planet
>Repeat

Please at least try learning to read. It's not that hard I promise you. The issue is there's almost always something that impairs your vision. And the game WASN'T like this on lauch when we paid for it. There's nothing relistic or engaging about being in fog regardless of planet, weather, or time of day.
Also, guess what. A game designed for no one, is also (surprise) a game desinged for no one.

All the tech and they can't even implement night vision, let along fog vision in the helmet.

Are you fine with fog and not able to see the beautiful landscapes on your 4090? Ok, FU here is fire tornado. And yellow tint filter, like in mexico,

Even if Arrowhead applied the settings you want to every planet, you would still find another thing to whine about to justify why you just aren't good enough.

wait. a LIVE SERVICE GAME changed since launch?

Those conniving devs how dare they add things to a LIVE SERVICE GAME

im pretty sure before you paid your what, last $40 for helldivers 2 it said

She is just delusional. I didn't say anything relative to gameplay. I just said that fog is hurting my eyes because of wrong (?) lightning settings, it's just too bright. And she maked up a whole theory out of nowhere and said that I'm having problems with a gameplay core. So yeah, she's got a point that she should visit a doctor.

I advise you to go outside with your husband and children and take a walk in the park, and after that visit the doctor.

Change isn't the issue. The quality of the change is.

Bruh, we literary use SMOKE against them and it work, so that doesn't make any sense.

I repeat once again that I have no problems with weather affixes on planets. I have a problem that most of the time fog is hurting my eyes because of wrong lightning settings. It's just too bright and intensive. Especially during the night near light sources

I'm fine with it to a degree depending on the reason. I've noticed on some planets when a lot of strategems are getting called in it leaves behind a ton of smoke and fog. You know becaues you were just blowing up a bunch of stuff. But the planets where you cant see much of anything by default is way too common. Wouldnt mind it if it wasnt all the time.

That's a good excuse but with all the tech that we have, why don't our helmets have thermal or flir vision?
We dont even have air filters as gas can kill us

Was excited to play on Matare since it didnt have weather modifiers and it was an earthlike environment. Just to drop in and see heavy fog just like all other planets... Was a nice change of scenery, the fog is so freaking annoying though

Yeah, this is the thing all the "git gud" people are ignoring. Lighting with any amount of fog/mist should not be blinding. I've had to stop and turn off my flashlight mid-fight because suddenly I can't see 5m in front of my character. Same for shooting down streetlights. Is it somehow preventing me from playing the game? No, but it's stupid to have to prioritize killing light sources over enemies.

Helldivers 2 has a real fetish for obscuring player vision. I don't know if it's an attempt to replicate the feel of the original top-down Helldivers or what, but it makes a lot of engagements just straight-up unpleasant. I get Spore Spewers. I get occasional rainstorms and thunderstorms. However, some planets just have "can't see ♥♥♥♥" levels of visibility around the clock. And worst of all - that only affects us. The AI can see just fine.

The problem with fog is that it only affects the detection radius of enemies. With heavy fog, it is easier to sneak around, but once you are caught enemies are not affected by it. Their line of sight is the same with or without fog.

Night effects detection range as well. At least on bots. Not sure about bugs but I believe so.
