Duo Difficulty? Do we suck?
What difficulty should a team of two generally be able to complete? Against bots, my friend and I are really struggling on Extreme, though he claims he was easily able to solo Hard when he was my level, which is the difficulty right below Extreme.

There are so many variables to a given match it's hard to say definitively. Extreme is an easy duo for experienced players and a challenge for fresh Helldivers

Really depends.
I usually do difficulty 7 missions with a full group but depending on the specific map we play, the mission layout, and where the game ends up deciding to spawn patrols and the sort of enemies in that patrol will make a difference in how easy / difficult it will be.

Sometimes, the game gives us the middle finger by pairing the Stratagem Jammer with other enemy tactical objectives, such as the Gunship Factory. Othertimes, you might be on a foggy planet and get sniped from cannon turrets you had no way of seeing. Then there's also those games where I run across the entire map looking for the Super Samples and it's quiet the entire time and we extract without any enemies around, all on the same difficulty.

I recently completed a Blitz in a Duo on 7. Others can solo Helldive difficulty.

TL;DR, if you feel like the current difficulty is too hard, go down one level and see if that goes better.

in a duo with my friend, weve managed to consistently do level 7 difficulty, we did up to 2 missions on level 8 but we didnt do the last one as planet ownership changed.

we've managed to complete most missions, and depnding on how we go about it, what we can do varies.

if we stick together, we can almost always do primary objectives and evac, if we split, most often than not we can do primary and secondary objectives and nearly all fabs

ocasionally we have a bad encounter or two and die a lot, and then we just focus on getting the primary objective done, evacuation optional.

the one mission we cant do at all, is the 15-20 minutes evac, we struggle with the kill 250 bots.

but its varied and it took us a while to get to this point

Stealth - 9
Blasting guns - 6/7 should be feasible

If you know what you're doing. Helldiver difficult should be easy for duo.

I think the better question for you should be, how can I play better to make the higher levels easier for me and my duo?

I could write up a lengthy response, but that'd take too long.

So Imma show you instead here with my YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZBQAN31Vrr6qsPR-qhjUHw

Depends on mission type and players and how you approach the mission. I can solo most missions on diff 7 easily and fast.
Decent due should do helldive alright.

I duo helldiver all the time and, other than avoiding the odd patrol, we blast everything in sight with no issues.

if you know when to run away and come back on objective 3mins later... helldive as duo is fine.

I'm friends with a couple who've duo'd up to 7 semi-effectively and one of them is reasonably new to the game. I think ultimately it's about what is fun for you.

I think more than a skill issue it might be a loadout issue.

2 should be able to handle any mission, but you have half the stratagems of a full team, if they are particularly bad or fail to cover some specific case it might explain why you're having a hard time.

Me and my duo are able to duo helldive, sometimes u gotta know when to just abandon an area of a map and come back later. We are also old dads. 36 and 39, so we arent great.

Just keep trying and playing and having fun, the lower tier missions progress global too.

The one your skill allows to.

People have been soloing Helldive.
I can reliably duo Impossible.

Retreat is an option and smoke nades/strikes allow for easy one.

Whats your levels? Solo, duo, quad - doesn't matter. More players - more enemies, so you should be good at any diff with any players. I mean like only skill and stratagem matters at this point.

The only exception is: elimination missions and science team. It is kinda hard solo, duo+ should be fine too.

It depends on a whole lotta stuff. I find that Extreme is fine (as long as you aren't doing retrieve essential personnel)

depends on how capable you are..
duo'd a 9 with my pal today, but usually we do level 7.

it all depends on loadout, skill and how about you love to shoot random stuff.
it's better to be stealthier, the more difficult a mission becomes.

you can do solo lvl 9 missions without shooting much.
just a shot here and there...
and if you are really sneaky, you can do a main mission objective (like upload data or something like that), without even firing a single shot
