Also, mind you I'm not speaking of 500kg bomb crater sized holes. A single grenade can be enough. So when you're on the terminal and titans/chargers come to stop you, not using explosives is not exactly an option.
I tried avoiding operations that includes these kind of missions whenever I can. But if you're trying to complete a major order sometimes it's not possible.
A simple solution I can think of is to set the ground around these objects indestructible so that you can always interact with them just like the terminals.
The hitbox for interaction in general is something that annoys me in this game. Sometimes you gotta be right on top of a sample so you can grab it. If two weapons lie next each other - ie, when you die - you'll find yourself in a bit of a struggle trying to get the one you want. If the battle is still going on, these 2 seconds you spend trying to hit the right item might be the death of you. How many times you run back to your stuff just to get your primary weapon instead of the autocannon?
