no ammo makes some guns interesting, and other guns specific quirks are that its infinite ammo with the chance to overheat.
If they didn't already have infinite ammo as an advantage then sure, but I can't see it being worth it in the current state of the game. This would involve a massive overhaul for a game that is barely 2 months old and not in EA. I just can't see any reason why they should invest this much effort into something that may or may not improve the game.
Rubbish, one of the key aspects to how different this game feels is the realism of ammo conservation and reload discipline.

Firing one shot then pressing R = noob, and we learn that very early on. Furthermore, this realistic mechanic makes the game far more rewarding when we actually count our shots down to the last in the chamber before reloading rather than firing til empty and incuring a reload time penalty, as we also do this in a real gun range.

In real life, merely shooting guns at stationary targets is fun and rewarding, this game has managed to capture quite a lot of what makes real gun shooting fun, in a computer game.
I just want them to add the A+ dialogue from EDF: "What is this? What is this?! Giant insects!!" - love that game

For example, say they add a BFG style weapon, and in instant deletes any single target in one hit, no matter what, but it take 5 seconds to reload with a reload pack, and you get 2 additional reload packs. Then when you run out, you can call for a resupply that gives you 3 reload packs, or you can "craft" your own over a 15 second timer.

In other words spend 15 seconds crafting it (only counts when you have the BFG equipped, and therefore aren't attacking, but doesn't have to be all in one straight setting ((aka craft for 10 seconds, swap guns to attack, swap back and craft for the remaining 5 seconds))) plus 5 additional seconds to reload the first pack. Or you could use a resupply to get 3 more packs right away.

That's sound like a pretty massive overhual to every guns as some of them only have the power AH allowed now only due to it's poor ammo economy.
I'm not sure I trust AH with this.

Beside this is more complicated than EDF version where reload speed and mag size is the only consideration, no need for the "crafting spare mags" thing just to shoehorn it in with the existing mags system.
(and "crafting" ammo on the field didn't really sit right with me lol)

If they gonna do it at all (I don't think they will), they should just forgo the limited mags system, re-balance the guns to the new metric, remove whatever strats that have to do the supplies and rework ammo/grenade/stim pick up.

But that didn't sound like Helldiver anymore now is it?
the games already a reload simulator. they should add a stratagem that drops a combat chest rig that halves reload time and doubles ammo capacity.
