HELMETS NEED MODIFIERS
Somewhat disappointed with the new Warbond but one thing that's SO irritating is the fact the Ground Breaker armour (which literally has a filter built into the helmet) has no modifiers, just like every other helmet.

Think about it.
If this helmet which has a filter could allow players to survive inside gas etc, it could encourage players to use the gas strategem (something basically no one uses currently because there's no point).
A helmet that allows you to survive gas would literally offer an additional style of play. It'd be reminiscent of gas attacks used in the first world war.

It would be so badass raining down gas and just sweeping through it finishing off bugs, for democracy! Or even as a way to just get past bugs whilst also taking them out in the process.

The visuals and aesthetics of some of the armour is really cool but there seems to be a lack of creativity in making the armour itself more interesting and feature attributes which actually match the armour itself.

Absolutely no. Divorce stats from armor entirely. I already hate feeling locked into ugly armor because it has the stats I want, this would make it worse.

I like your idea OP, but the gas resistance passive is a non-starter unless they add in a new gas strategem. The orbital gas strike isn't a poison gas, but a corrosive one, hence why it works on bots.

I think helmets being free of modifiers grants players a lot of access to vanity. It's nice getting to mix and match different helmets w different armors without worrying if I'm making some optimal kit. I love wearing the Drone Master helmet like all the time and it would suck if it got changed and didn't have a great ability.
I'd be fine with helmets having stats if we could transmog our gear. My wife always wears that ugly orange armor for the extra grenades and I can't stand looking at it, and neither can she. I know there's another armor set that provides the same stats in the new warbond, but still.

It's not gas it's corrosive mist.
I think thematically only sensor related buffs should go on helmet.

It already kind of sucks that If I want specific status and bonus I have to use a specific piece of body gear. I'd rather it not get stuck for the helmet just for the stats.

It would be great if some helmets reduced headshot damage (yes enemies can headshot) or some helmets would be resistant to gas, cold or have nightvision for night missions.

Oh yeah helmets and capes need stats. It would be much more interesting to build your chara around something, cape for movement, falldamage etc., helmet for radar, better precision while scope for example etc. now they feel useless cause they are.

Could use some nightvision (for missions at night and low visibility conditions), threat assessment (something that highlights most dangerous enemies, useful for haze and fog), target acquisition (faster snap on target aim), resource scanner (spot samples from greater distances highlighting them via icons) and code bypass. (for opening double switch doors as one, and faster progress bars on objective consoles). No metas, only situational use.
