The bots haven't changed and don't need to be.
It just makes you look even more of a moron, its not even a complaint post its just a discussion if people don't wanna read it, ya don't have to announce it like an airport just move on and stop asking for attention
@Ozzy: the writing is fine, it was foreshadowed for a few weeks before, that bots are contacting someone outside the galaxy and it's probably not their main fleet that we see now. It's not like it's stellar writing, but it's consistent and it holds up just fine
> Less infantry
It's just RNG, it changes map to map heavily
> Flamthrowers
Yeah fk those
> Overall
We've had several EXTREMELY chill bot missions yesterday on helldive, so it's also RNG dependent
As far as fun goes - they somehow started oneshotting with rockets again even in heavy explosive armor. It's rare but it happens. And it's not like I'm ragdolled and hit my head then die. Just straight up dead to one rocket, that's it.
Also yesterday I've had many missions where I was lying down in a stealth light armor, none of my squad fighting nowhere near close to me, no shield or rover on top of me, no watchtower (I killed both at that point). And then a random patrol 50 meters away aggros on me and/or there's a random drop on top of my head. No idea what happened
- Mainly my deaths are from jetpack guys as their explosions one shot EVERYTHING, so just be warned on them
- I think the devs have upped their aggression level then possibly too high
- Stealth is broken I feel too cause I've had very simular inncidents as yours, its strange
They just feel alot different than they used to, but I don't know if I'm going crazy lol
So far I've seen: hulks and devastators climbing mountain ranges to come at the group, said enemies shooting through those mountains with lasers to attack you, and the humanoid bots walking through ANY terrain and doing the same.
Nah, I was talking specifically about rockets to the face
I understand the aggro thingy, which would explain the slight increase in numbers and enemy vigilance, but it's up to 11 now in terms of stealth
You're def not crazy, I started noticing it the same time you did, same as my friends
Come to think of it, stealth issues also occured on sandy planets, gotta test it somewhere else
And that right there, could only be written by someone that didn't pay attention. Operation Swift Disassembly was started because Super Earth had gotten news about a large Automaton Invasion Fleet heading for Super Earth. They started Operation Swift Disassembly in order to stop the invasion fleet becoming even larger.
It wasn't an "And then there were more" situation, it was a case of "we know there is something big coming, maybe we can stop it". They already told us before we started Operation Swift Disassembly that there would be a big invasion coming. And they are also not releasing 2 new enemy types a 2 days before the faction is removed.
But don't let any of this get in the way of your conspiracy theory of the evil devs being out to getcha.
They haven't really changed. If anything, they got easier.
You seriously think they buffed the bots between Operation Swift Disassembly and this new invasion?
Compared to release the bots got a lot easier. We have more tools to fight them than ever before and they reduced the Rocket damage... if anything the Bots were never as easy to fight as they are right now.
And personally i like fighting bots, as they are at least a bit of a challenge in terms of gameplay mechanics, with the need to take cover and the many situations where you need to flank them to destroy them. In terms of gameplay they are so much more fun to fight than bugs. With the exception of the Charger and the Bile Titan there isn't really much need for Team play with the bugs. Its just a shooting gallery.
I wouldn't say it was outta nowhere. They dropped a ton of hints that the bots on the visible galaxy map weren't the only ones out there.
- Outposts tend to randomly shoot flares and call reinforcements even when not alerted at all. I had 3 flares being shot from outpost 300~ meters away from me.
- Absolute crap spawns of heavies. Had 2-3 tanks per drop. Science lab resque missions are straight up unplayable due to sheer massiveness of spawns. Not only in terms of amount of drops, but amount of enemies led to FPS drops AND reinforcements not working at all. I had a conga line of 20~ berserkers following me in about 3 minutes after start.
- No limit for gunship spawn. Even on Reddit there is a funny screenshot of 7 gunships on one player.
Due to first 2 issues even difficulty 4 felt like 6-7 even with a full team of friends.
