picking up an ammo box resupplies only 1 grenade...
really feels like it should be more 😬

the supply box ammo gives it only two. It's either intentional to treat it like a grenade or an unintended bug.

aye, especially when compared to other weapons with explosive ammo, eg the eruptor, or auto cannon

Seems a bit stingy doesn't it. I mean, sure, you have a stock of 8 grenades in your pistol slot, which rearm off ordinary ammo drops rather than the absurdly rare grenade pickups... but it's almost as if the devs put this weapon in never to be anything more than a bug hole closer, rather than a viable general use weapon.

its far less i mean the other pistols get ammo back from 1 supply and the grenade pistol you need to take the entire supply drop to fill it to full.

unless your playing solo this is crap in teams

It's not bad for a team if you alternate between this weapon and grenades. That way 1 resupply box will give you 4 total grenades without any being wasted.
