First time since may that a patch does something good and it's not a ''bug'', fixes a lot of issues, makes the frames a bit more stable now, weapons actually do something and we don't have to follow a 2 or 4 weapon meta and is certainly a step in the right direction, they just gotta do this again...maybe a couple more times.

To those claiming the game is too easy now are simply full of crap, depending on the team the game can be either a total sh*tshow or an organized warfare, with opportunities to fight back.

And to the masochist players who defended the nerfs and dislike the new patch, guess who the devs believed were right at the end of the day...

Great patch, more like these, and we're back baby.

I mean. level 10 was already not that hard. Now its a literal cake walk, did 6 missions yesterday and had only 5 deaths total for the entire team, 4 of which were friendly fire. The game is to easy now. 10 should be a challenge, now 10 feels like 3 lol. I get that a lot of divers like being op and having little to no challenge, but that was why the game had 10 difficulties, the fact AH nerfed the enemies and buffed the divers so much that "super hell dive" is a cakewalk now sucks. They could have easily made the weapons and strat buffs, but kept the enemies were they were and made 10 harder to compensate, that way the divers that like being op can be op in the lower difficulties and the divers that liked having some Challege could still have it in the hardest Challege mode but now its just easy mode in all 10 modes which is boring.

To be fair, performance improved a lot, for me at least, with the Escalation patch.

Well im not the best player by any means and i just solo'd a lv10 defence mission with just the rail gun,
So im telling you, its alot easier because before 4 of us struggled to do a lv9 defence due to the amount of armour enemies that spawned.
The patch buffed weapon damage 3-4x and lowered most enemies armour by 1 stage. This is quite an extreme nerf to the difficulty but it will please the causal crowd...which honestly is the bulk of any games player base. More hard core players won't like this huge drop in difficulty.

I really hope the add in a system that allows players to choose what difficulty they want to play at so they can have fun. Like what Deep Rock Galactic has.

The game only got easier if you were completely incompetent. Last patch, every bug heavy was obliterated by OPS, and every bot was obliterated by autocannon 2 tap. Now, the only difference is that you aren't forced to bring OPS to literally every single mission and 500Kg to every bug mission, since AT actually kills things now. Other than that, nothing meaningfully changed about the difficulty unless you were too inept to call one (1) stratagem and throw one (1) grenade per heavy, there's just a few more weapons that deal damage

It's very easy to make the game harder. The myopic git gud crowd can run sub-optimal loadouts by choice. Take the Purifier and the stalwart to bots on 10 and don't take any AT. Bam you just went to difficulty 11, look at you! But making the game more fun for tends of thousands can not be done at the individual level. It can only be done at the development (game wide) level.

For the record - I was clearing 10 fairly easily pre patch on both bugs and bots, so I do see what OP is saying.
However, as nice as it was to be one of the special few this has opened up the accessibility.
Also as I was always running with PUGS I always had to take the same build -Incend Breaker, RG orbital, Shield pack and the anti tank secondary that was the least nerfed.

Now I am having fun playing different builds and have the confidence to drop my IB and play a HMG build or ARC or RG or whatever. Yes the game is easier but I am still seeing people get shredded on 10 and having to finish the map alone and now I can play different builds.

Its freshened the game and on the whole I think theyve done a good job.

I've seen streamers play really ''peaceful'' level 10 missions and i'm pretty sure difficulty is kinda bugged. Sometimes enemies overwhelm you and sometimes the game is just chill no matter the difficulty, it always kind of felt this way for me.

I really support the idea of them making every single weapon good so everybody can pick whatever they like to bring into battle and not being forced to follow a meta.

Based post. Game is going in the right direction finally. Weapons feel like they do something, and you can play the game without higher difficulties being tedious and the "get lucky" factor. The solution to everyone going on about "it's too easy now" (which it's not - the game is still challenging) is to add higher difficulty modes past 10, like the first game did.

The base game play feels great now, the solution was never to nerf everything down for balance, but to buff everything up, so you feel like you can attack enemies, but more + bigger enemies challenge you.

They are still being shredded good on 7, no worries.
But I see really different builds right now. Which is great. No more 3 identical loadouts.
And, oh boy, 500kg now is 500kg bomb.

and what happens when the lower skill people complain again that those modes are to hard? Cause that was what 10 was for, but it got gutted because it "was too hard" for those players. .

? they already have 10 difficulty modes? you could always pick one to fit your skill/ fun level.
The bots armor feels lacking, maybe reduced by half but the new Hulker with Command Center Cannons is bad ass :D
