380mm Orbital Barrage Buff?
Anyone think the 380mm Orbital Barrage could use a bit of a damage buff? Sure it does great AoE damage when taking out large groups of enemies on higher difficulties, but my main gripe is towards Factory Striders and Dropships towards the Automatons. I find it odd how one 380mm (giant shell, basically) can't down one Dropship, regardless of where the lucky shot lands, but one Quasar Cannon shot or EAT/Recoil Rifle shot can, given it's a smaller projectile than a 380mm. Makes no sense really. Plus, I've seen multiple 380mm shots land directly on a single Factory Strider, both in the back, the head or even underneath it (somehow) and it's still walking, but 2 500kg bombs (for example) is all it takes to down one. Again, I get that the 380mm is more of a heavy base/hive or big group destroyer, but I feel the damage is underwhelming at times compared to the AoE to each explosion.

What do you guys think, though? I love using this Stratagem, but feel the damage could use a buff, especially on the bigger enemies.

The 120mm and 380mm need buffs now after the orbital napalm barrage was released.
Napalm Barrage can still take out some armored units, and some buildings, but the impact and duration is longer.

Both should fire faster, last longer, make bigger booms and have more splash.

Seriously though, I think the 380mm could use maybe more shots per volley and it'd be perfect. I think it's really meant for teamplay though. Have you ever combined it with a bunch of teammates throwing the same? Feels like an absolute cheat-code.

i think the dmg is fine its the cooldown that i find anoying . i take the 120 mm instead because of the cooldown

The 380 is the most inaccurate and slowest orbital artillery, and frankly there's not big enough bases to warrant bringing it over the 120 or Walking or Napalm now.

Napalm does not close holes. And you obviously do not play on high difficulty where 380 can close 8+ holes with a single application.

If you're playing with randoms who are not very good then 380 is bad; but if you have the upgrades it is literally the best call in overall given the power it delivers.
I'll be real, there's a few things that SHOULD be one shotting dropships that aren't. It's weird how you can nail a dropship (accidentally) with an Orbital Precision Strike, and just... do nothing to it.

yea they gotta buff 120mm and 380mm cause the napalm barrage makes them look so pathetic. ngl the napalm barrage is the best looking area denial strat at this moment.

The 120mm is nice now with the lower cooldown and the improved firing speed.

No reason to take 380mm over it or over the walking barrage. It's too unreliable for the big cooldown it have.

I have personally found that a 380 dropped alongside a napalm orbital can clear an entire base or at least enough of it to allow me to clean up whatever is left with a quasar cannon and small arms fire. Now granted I use heavy armor with bonus throw range and the shield backpack (typically on difficulty 6) but the few times Ive played higher difficulty missions it has still worked fairly well (as long as I dont let the dropships with tanks on them survive).

You're asking people if it needs a buff but did you get the explosion buff upgrade for your ship?
It might be the buff you need if you haven't already got it.

You have to be pretty bad at the game to get yourself killed by 380s THAT often.
