MAKE EXTRACTION GREAT AGAIN
I don't know if Arrowhead realizes this but EXTRACTION STOPS BEING RELEVANT once you buy all the ship upgrades and cap your sample stash.
The whole squad might as well die and die again after the mission is complete until they have no reinforces left in order to save time on POINTLESS extraction.

This is a huge problem since this situation breaks one of the core mechanics of the game, mechanics that make the game fun and challenging.
This situation makes you care less.
You don't care about dying, you care less about exploration, you don't care if you survive to the end... because the mission is succesfull anyways...

This needs to be addressed ASAP.

Easy. They have to make supercredits and medals that u found during mission lostable, and u will have to extract to get them.

if you're maxed on ship upgrades, chances are you don't need anything but supercredits, you don't really need to play the game

maybe such issues wouldn't exist if we didnt play the alpha version of the game

Extraction affects the mission star rating. In HD 1, the war impact was determined by the difficulty level and star rating. Right now, that rating is useless
They won't award super credits for sure

Please, you have a full keyboard at your disposal. There is no excuse to use one-letter alternatives to words as if we're still on touch-tone flip cell phones of the early 2000's
nothing matters in any video game. the reason you want to extract is because it is more satisfying than not extracting.

Yeah, that was something I've called out since day one.
Right now their progression system is pretty okay, but very, VERY limited and easily maxed.

The problem is once you've maxed it the objectives on the map lose ALL interest.

XP? I'm maxed.
Samples? I literally can't use them for anything.
It's a real problem as it remove any insentive from doing any optional objectives in the game. Suddenly clearing nest, doing blue nods and collecting samples is literally a waste of time, and it makes the map feel way more empty since 2/3 of the stuff on it is useless.

The only relevant stuff to kepe is Medals and Super Credits.

The simple fix would be to have some kind of trade terminal where you could sell your samples and XP for Medals and Credits.

The harder fix would be to have a consumable system that actively burn these ressources to make something out of it (like... say you need to burn thos to be able to use boosters or something).

How much of an effect? Because from what I've noticed, your star rating is harmed far more by not completing secondary objectives, or clearing enemy nests/factories than it is affected by having all four players extract.

What treasonous nonsense is this?! If you return alive and victorious you have the glory youve already earned and can gain even more on your next dive. If you make a glorious and worthy sacrifice you have earned all the glory you ever will and no more will be added to your name after youre in the ground (or more likely scattered over a large area of the surface of your last visited planet). Niw the question you need to ask is how much glory for Super Earth is enough? If you are a true citizen you know the answer!

well... i capped ship upgrades and samples at around 120hrs already ?
way too early for that i think...
