If the host crashes or drops connection the game continues normally. In fact I'm pretty sure the game isn't hosted on the "hosts" local machine, its still on the game's server. Its most likely your own game/internet going out, not the "hosts".

Please direct your shame towards potato hardware to the devs instead, please.

Their servers are so bad it has literally been in the patch notes known issues they can't even handle you collecting items without freezing you in place at times.

Though I will be really impressed if you have some patch notes saying "Actually it is your host's fault"

The player with the strongest connection is the host. There is host migration that usually works, when it doesn't, we all crash and go home.

There you go, you've never updated your video cards vbios. 40 series cards are notorious for having stability issues with drivers and vbios.

Cant get upset when the servers are straight poop and you're getting DC'ed because the issue is on arrowheads end.

another non 40 serie owner talking bad about something they havent experienced yet. i very rarely have any preformance issues games usualy its just steady 144fps. Even if it was true what you say just upgrade your driver when an update lands. but i never have these issues you talk about anyway.

Tell me about it, lost hours of laboring in the salt mines because Arrowhead is setting records for video game developer incompetence quotas. Even my setup can host the game better than this. But nope, gotta have this Live Service act as a connection manager.

Check the TIM's (Thermal Interface Materials) on your cards. If you bought these without ever opening them up, there's a chance they've been rushed through production to get the coolers on. You might find missing thermal pads and crappy/very little thermal grease on these units. I had a 2080S that was having a hard time even playing this game, I opened it up and found it was missing some pads on the Vram. After applying some new ones to it and repasting, game ran flawlessly at high FPS.

Its definitely a you issue since you're even have to tell yourself that I don't own a 40 series card to cope harder. I have a 4090 and they've had a ton of issues in the past, I was crashing in this game until I updated vbios and no, just updating the drivers isn't going to be enough. Other games are irrelevant if they don't max out your gpu/cpu/ram bandwidth as all of those combined can cause issues (like if ram overheats from cpu and gpu being at max load, even if they themselves are ok temp).
