Their servers are so bad it has literally been in the patch notes known issues they can't even handle you collecting items without freezing you in place at times.
Though I will be really impressed if you have some patch notes saying "Actually it is your host's fault"
ah i see its a general issue with the servers?
The player with the strongest connection is the host. There is host migration that usually works, when it doesn't, we all crash and go home.
Tell me about it, lost hours of laboring in the salt mines because Arrowhead is setting records for video game developer incompetence quotas. Even my setup can host the game better than this. But nope, gotta have this Live Service act as a connection manager.
Check the TIM's (Thermal Interface Materials) on your cards. If you bought these without ever opening them up, there's a chance they've been rushed through production to get the coolers on. You might find missing thermal pads and crappy/very little thermal grease on these units. I had a 2080S that was having a hard time even playing this game, I opened it up and found it was missing some pads on the Vram. After applying some new ones to it and repasting, game ran flawlessly at high FPS.
