The Liberator can kill like 4 or 5 bugs (like Warrior Bugs) with a full magazine, meanwhile hte slow RPM and slightly smaller mag on the Defender feels like your have to empty the whole mag to kill one bug (or at least a Brood Commander from what i recall) Provided you can aim for weakspots (such as a brood commanders LEGs or a Dominators Skull) you can also deal with medium armor enemies pretty easily due to low recoil/shot spread.
The Scorcher and Dominator meanwhile have HIGH DAMAGE but low mag count, and comparatively slow RPM.
This game isn't meant to be 100% Realistic.
Agreed. FOr all the quality work that has been done ensuring that the Support weapons are well-balanced against each other, there is essentially one Secondary and 2-3 primaries at most.
out of the 4 secondaries, 2 of them really "viable". Your stock peacemaker does it job well (15 rounds in 5 mags), the Redeemer just has a Full auto mode to hose down anything that gets in your face (30 rounds in 4 mags).
The higher difficulties in this game are not remotely balanced and so currently not worth playing. No one wants to be swarmed by a hundred bugs with so much health that even a full mag from a machine gun to the weakpoint wont take them down.
Like their are 3 versions of the Spewers and 2 versions of the Charger. WHY THE HELL DO WE NEVER SEE THE CHARGER BEMOTH?! It should start appearing regularly around lvl 7 but no you get the normal ones.
The Nursing Spewer is a JOKE as is the normal Bile spewer (which sometimes takes its place), but then you can get ether the ARMORED bile spewer (aka Bug Artillery) or the Nursing Sprewer on 8 and 9?! WHY!!!!!!!
Simple as.
Do too well? Get slapped. As a player base.
Stop fighting in an unfun environment? "Git gud."
Complain that this is a bait-and-switch moment, since you've paid and since then, the whole dynamic has changed? "The devs have a vision."
This sh!t goes on. And on, and on, and on...
It honestly sounds like the complainers should just chill out and play on a lower difficulty. There's nothing wrong with that. But myself and many others greatly enjoy the challenge presented by fending off swarms of hunters and chargers, and the animosity comes from us not wanting you lot ruining our fun by attempting (in vain, to be honest) to convince the devs to make the game easier, when you HAVE THE CHOICE TO PLAY ON EASIER DIFFICULTIES.
Stop trying to ruin the fun for those of us who want a challenge and just play on easy/medium ffs.
Yes, you level up with EXP, yes you get medals to buy the new acquisitions, yes you get req to buy the unlocked stratagems BUT that's not the true progression. Your level is for unlocking access to more stratagems and higher difficulties. the req to purchase stratagems to YOUR play-style, and medals for battle pass cosmetics/ perks and useless weapon.
The argument is " your suppose to use stratagems " right? Well if one where to just play on lower difficulties how are they to progress the only viable weapons they have? Remember you need ship modules to level up your stratagems and to get the required Samples to get them to a higher level you have to play at higher difficulties. That's where the real leveling system is, in sample collecting, and any module higher than the first requires all 3. Difficulties lower than 4 only get commons, 4 you get some rares, and anything above you get super rares.
I honestly think the people defending the nerfs are the ones who owned the game day one, ran with the weapons in question, farmed the samples, maxed out their modules, and are just trying to take the fun out of the game for everyone else who just got in or who don't have the time to sit on their butt and play games all day long. Saying how people need to get gud, lower difficulty and blah blah blah.
I say no, how about you elites ask the devs to implement a character reset, you start at square 1 and lets see how much fun you have in the rice fields B!@CH.
You can use your weapons just fine. Ya'll are just BAD AT AIMING
also Railgun is still great against bots.
They've also said they WANT you to feel like a scrub.
They WANT you to struggle. They WANT you to fail.
The first and last are what I take issue with.
Victory without struggle is pointless. Empty.
Getting the gold medal, then being kicked in the balls and shoved back into the mosh pit?
No thanks, I'm good. Most folks are.
