Anti Material Rifle not accurate?
Hi all,

So the scope isn't calibrated properly even at very close range testing on a wall to see impact. Where you aim is not point of impact. Also the AMR will and can MISS targets at their weak spot even when you are PRONED and the enemy is STATIC. Perfect example on a stunned high valued enemy im proned dead center aim at vulnarable point shoot and misses. I played plenty of snipers in my life but this is very frustrating. Shot not being registered is no fun and happens like a glass wall stopping the bullet.

Reasons does armor matter? I thought being PRONED regardless of type of armor it will grant you a more stable precise shot correct? Or does picking an armor with the bonus "less recoil" give a a far better accuracy even when proned?

If the inaccuracy is horizontal or inconsistent then its a different issue.
is horizontal

i actually take it on missions i drop into and jump pack to a perch just to see how far away i can hit an enemy approaching my allies.
The fact it has bullet drop and travel time actually makes it interesting in wondering how well can i lead those shots too.

Lol all the people trying so hard to justify this when everyone KNOWS the reticule is not aligned properly.

The funny thing about the Anti-Materiel Rifle is in my experience it literally cannot be used at its maximum range.

Every engagement in this game seems to take place at 120m at MOST, and that's if you're plinking random bots at some outpost on the other side of the map for no real reason because then you still have to approach to complete the objective...

I had a trivial, I don't know if it's higher on bigger maps with more terrain, but I ran a trivial and the game wasn't rendering bugs at a location maybe 120m away, where I KNEW there were bugs, so I ran up like 10m closer, and they suddenly popped in, so I went back, and they were gone again... their blips were gone from radar too.

I don't get it. Why'd they even bother giving us such powerful scopes? It doesn't even matter when it comes to 'stealth' or whatever since in my experience if you plink enemies from far enough away, other enemies, patrols especially, will STILL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE AFTER THE FIRST SHOT and run right toward you.

But I dunno that's just my experience.

its just as bad that if you move or turn while scoped in your eye position changes for some reason. Like why the hell would your eyeball drift if you turn

All these bug only players saying the AMR is useless lmao

It really needs the liberator scope so you can see a dang thing through it.

Or you can just mark the target... It'll tell you exactly how far away it is and then you'll know the range of everything in that general area

I do that all the time with bot fabricators so I know when to throw my air strike onto it. Since your max range is 48m without servo armor, just mark it and you'll know when you're at your max throw range, just keep in mind elevation of course

As someone who has been "maining" the AM rifle. It has nothing to do with "zeroing" the scope. It literally fires to the up left on the cross hair currently.

Anyone saying otherwise is either in denial or just not delving deep enough into the games current mechanics.

YO this lines up with my experiences too, this video.

I KNEW something was off with it but this actually proves it, this must be why it feels absolutely terrible to use. What the heck? Why is it like this???

I had a video saved of a parrot looking at a bug and going "its a bug" but I lost it.

Thats the answer though.

I know it's a bug but come on how does this even happen... did they just never get even one guy to like check that every weapon was firing as intended?

I wonder if this means other weapons are also calibrated off.

I think its due to how the majority of the weapons work and are designed to be used in third person view, I can test others but most of the time people third person those. I have a feeling the DMR line is off though, since I hear a lot of people saying they under-perform.

That's one way to say "I never fight against automatons".
There is no enemy AMR can't kill there and everything below hulk requires ONE shot, hulk requires TWO, only tank requires 6-7.
