The fact it has bullet drop and travel time actually makes it interesting in wondering how well can i lead those shots too.
Every engagement in this game seems to take place at 120m at MOST, and that's if you're plinking random bots at some outpost on the other side of the map for no real reason because then you still have to approach to complete the objective...
I had a trivial, I don't know if it's higher on bigger maps with more terrain, but I ran a trivial and the game wasn't rendering bugs at a location maybe 120m away, where I KNEW there were bugs, so I ran up like 10m closer, and they suddenly popped in, so I went back, and they were gone again... their blips were gone from radar too.
I don't get it. Why'd they even bother giving us such powerful scopes? It doesn't even matter when it comes to 'stealth' or whatever since in my experience if you plink enemies from far enough away, other enemies, patrols especially, will STILL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE AFTER THE FIRST SHOT and run right toward you.
But I dunno that's just my experience.
Or you can just mark the target... It'll tell you exactly how far away it is and then you'll know the range of everything in that general area
I do that all the time with bot fabricators so I know when to throw my air strike onto it. Since your max range is 48m without servo armor, just mark it and you'll know when you're at your max throw range, just keep in mind elevation of course
As someone who has been "maining" the AM rifle. It has nothing to do with "zeroing" the scope. It literally fires to the up left on the cross hair currently.
Anyone saying otherwise is either in denial or just not delving deep enough into the games current mechanics.
YO this lines up with my experiences too, this video.
I KNEW something was off with it but this actually proves it, this must be why it feels absolutely terrible to use. What the heck? Why is it like this???
I had a video saved of a parrot looking at a bug and going "its a bug" but I lost it.
Thats the answer though.
I wonder if this means other weapons are also calibrated off.
I think its due to how the majority of the weapons work and are designed to be used in third person view, I can test others but most of the time people third person those. I have a feeling the DMR line is off though, since I hear a lot of people saying they under-perform.
There is no enemy AMR can't kill there and everything below hulk requires ONE shot, hulk requires TWO, only tank requires 6-7.
